Cadillac Heritage Christian School

Half our team went to the mid south food bank where they distribute food to 31 counties in Tennessee, Mississippi, and one in Arkansas. We sorted food items that were donated by local businesses to be sent out to different locations. 

Calvary is a homeless ministry located in downtown Memphis where the word of God is preached 365 days a year!  We cooked dinner for 75+ clients and the staff. What an incredible ministry. 

We had the opportunity to meet Pastor Sok and his family during our mission trip in Memphis. Our English teacher at school had befriended him on Facebook and Pastor Sok took the opportunity to come and speak to us about his Cambodian Ministry here in Memphis. 

Our last day before we headed back home,we served at two of the three Dorothy Day homes. Where families who have fallen on hard times are allowed to live rent free with their children until they can get back on their feet. This is one of the only ministries that will house a mom or a dad with kids under the age of 17. 

A small group of us went to the Dorothy Day office where we helped organize all the food and household supplies. These items were used to help those who have gotten back on their feet but still were struggling to make ends meet. 

Our last evening meeting we shared our highlights of the week. All of our highlights seemed to evolve around serving others with joyful hearts and a giving spirits. We pray for God to open doors that we can make a difference in our community.
