After a long journey we made it to North Carolina! After settling in we got to hear about the community here and watch a meaningful documentary describing what it was like for community members who lived through hurricane Helene. 

Today we are at one of our partner ministries, Center for Latinos. We have been sorting and organizing clothing, personal hygiene, and toy donations!

We started out our morning with a prayer walk… beautiful weather and a sweet time coming together to lift up the local community and land  in prayer. 

We got to go to a local nursing home and sing some hymns for the residents in the dementia unit. We also got to give them some handmade quilts that we brought on the trip! 

We helped Sylvia clear a room in her house and prepare for putting new flooring in!

This morning we helped out with some work projects to help out a local family 

For our rec day we took a hike on grandfather mountain. It was beautiful!
