Peoples Church

We made it safe and sound to Panama. This is just an absolutely beautiful country. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us. It’s going to be an amazing week of ministry. 

We spent time learning from our staff about the rules of the week. We want our week to be wonderful and enjoyable. 

We had a wonderful Church service this morning where three churches were together worshipping the Lord. The sanctuary was full. 

Some of our students were able to lead some worship and praise songs alongside church members 

Some of our students and leaders shared their testimonies this morning. It was wonderful to hear how the Lord has worked in their lives and through them. Their stories encourage many and it is God still writing their stories 

Today, we had a celebration. Sisters from one church performed a wonderful dance and the other sister sang a wonderful song in both English and Spanish. 

Such a wonderful way to celebrate the Lord on this amazing day. 

We spent such a wonderful time getting to know the host Pastors we will be serving with! 

First, Pastor Christian! After saying no to the Lord for his calling, the Lord showed him a life lesson: He is real and He is faithful. 

Both, Pastor and Pastora have been brave and faithful to the ministry the Lord has put in their hands leading a vibrant church drawn to share the Gospel with the kids and the youth of this community. 

We went to the supermarket to get all the groceries for the Food Distribution Ministry that will be happening this week. We will be delivering 20 bags of groceries in the community of Nuevo Caimitillo.

Amy shared her testimony with the ladies this afternoon at Iglesia Cuadrangular Jesucristo Salva and Deborah reminded the ladies that  we are loved and valued by God. 

This afternoon we had a wonderful time with the ladies. Claudia shared about the story of the Samaritan woman and how the Lord had a purpose to meet her in the well. 

We had a time where the ladies shared their experiences related to this story. 

Today Nicole accepted Jesus. 

We had a wonderful day at the food distribution ministry in Nuevo Caimitillo. We visited 5 homes in the area and Nicole, this young lady, decided to change her life and give it to Jesus. There is a celebration in heaven! 

We love the kids from these communities. We have had so much fun with each of them. They bring joy and remind us about God’s love. 

We had a wonderful time with the women at the church in Caimitillo. We had over 25 ladies that were encouraged by the students testimonies related to the stories of Esther and Mary. We reminded the ladies that we need to be as strong as Esther and to be brave to share the Good News as Mary. 

We had an amazing time also at the church in New Caimitillo. We spent time with over 50 ladies that showed up for our Women’s Ministry time. 

Pastora Ana shared about what Proverbs tells us about the beauty of the women and we had time to spoil the ladies with some manicures, pedicures, hand massages and face masks. 

This morning, we had a wonderful morning. We took the students on a historical tour around Chagres Lake. There are a lot of stories in the indigenous reservations in this area. We were able to get to see their culture and experience their dances. 

We spent some time during the afternoon and we went out to the community to invite the youth to the Youth Night on Friday. 

We can’t wait to see them all at church to worship and praise the Lord together! 

Pastors from several churches gathered with us this evening. We spent time encouraging them with worship, testimonies from our students and a great word from the Lord brought by Pastor Marcus. 

We ended our time praying for the pastors! It was an amazing time of fellowship! 

During our Food Distribution Ministry, we were able to visit Pastor Raquel’s parents. They were founders of the church and we want to honor them as well. 

They shared with us a little about the impact they have seen in the church and the blessing is to be part of it. 

We had a wonderful time at the home! Many of us have had the opportunity to share testimonies with the community members! Healing, restoration, faith and more! The Lord has been good to us! 

We kept working on the painting project at Casa de Oracion. We moved and worked on to the children’s area of the building! 

We have loved our time visiting the homes and getting to know each family in these two communities. It has been a blessing to us to know that most of them have been praying for this! They have prayed for a miracle, for prayer and for God to show up! 

This is our new family portrait. 

Almost a week ago, we were foreigners. People who came to Panama to serve two amazing and vibrant churches. Today, we are family in Jesus! We love these communities, their pastors, their congregations, their kids. 

We love them! It has been such a blessing to serve here! 

We had such a powerful night with the youth of the community. We had worship, such life changing testimonies by the students and a powerful sermon from Pastor Marcus led to a prayer time with the ones who wanted to come back to Jesus. 

We reminded them that Jesus loves them so much!
