We made it!

Relational Training!

by Kayla Delgado | July 20, 2025 11:35 AM

This morning, we kicked off the day with a relational training focused on having more meaningful and intentional conversations. We used a creative mental image to help us build conversations step-by-step, moving from surface-level questions to deeper, more personal topics.

The image looked like this:

  • A nameplate forms the foundation, reminding us to start with their name.
  • On top of the nameplate is a house, representing where they live.
  • On the house are people, symbolizing their friends and family.
  • Reaching up from the house is a work glove, prompting questions about work, school, or how they spend their time.
  • The glove is holding a plane, which represents travel.
  • The plane has a tennis racket as its propeller, pointing to sports, hobbies, and interests.
  • Attached to the racket is a lightbulb, reminding us to ask about their ideas and passions — “What lights you up?”
  • Next comes a PFC soldier, representing their problems, frustrations, concerns, or challenges.
  • Beside the soldier is a goalpost, symbolizing their goals and aspirations.
  • Inside the goalpost are praying hands, reminding us to pray for them and invite God into the conversation.

Great to see all your bright, shiny faces here! Have been enjoying the Facebook posts also! We are praying for you all each and every day. Please remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated! Ragbrai appeared to be a great success here over the weekend - even had a traffic jam on the way to church yesterday!!! There are good pictures of that on Facebook too. Hopefully you are able to get good rest at night! Thank you all for being the hands and feet of Jesus in Okmulgee for all of us at Immanuel. Love and hugs to all of you!!!
