We attended the 10:30 service at Redeeming Love Church in Maplewood. Our partners John and Jen from Godtown attend this church and they so graciously opened their arms to us. At the end of the service the congregation came around our team and covered us in prayer as we prepare to step into ministry.

While riding back and forth we got the amazing opportunity to meet so many lovely faces! It’s such a blessing to listen to these people’s stories and to just be an open hear for them to talk to! Afterwards we got to pray over their hardships they are going through and for continual safety in their life :)

Chapelstreet helped at Good in the Hood to sort shoes. They sorted shoes to grind, to get rid of, good, to sell wholesale, and great, to sell for 6 dollars to the local community. All the proceeds went to food for the local community.

Eden Community Garden

Pods 2 and 4 went to the Eden Community Garden ran by God town to help with weeding, composting, putting cages around plants and cleaning up the space! This community garden is used to provide fresh food to local community members in the Frogtown neighborhood!

A few of us got to stay back at God Town and prepare lunches for the homeless encampment. After many burgers and hot dogs were made, we packaged them up and created lunch bags full of goodies!!

Jen and John, our partners at Godtown have built a beautiful relationship with the people of the St. Paul homeless encampment. We had the privilege of joining them to pass out food, water and clothing. Not only did we bring them tangible goods but we listened to their stories and prayed over them, hoping to show the love of Christ in every encounter.

This afternoon pods 3 & 1 did an amazing job working on site at Godtown! We hauled many piles of lumber & siding to be stored and used in the future! We also broke down old lumber and carried it down the block to the garden compost site. This afternoon was the epitome of “many hands make light work”!

BAPTISMS on the Beach!

Today was our rec day and so we visited Douglas Point Beach on the St. Croix River! After an incredibly moving week a handful of students expressed interest in baptism. What started as 7 students grew to 18 students professing their faith in the Lord!! HALLELUJAH! Heaven is rejoicing!
