We’ve Arrived

by Lynesha Oby | March 15, 2025 9:23 PM

Welcome to Florida! After a long travel day, we safely arrived and completed orientation. The energy in the room is high and we’re excited about what’s in store.

We’ve Arrived

Downtown Venice

by Lynesha Oby | March 16, 2025 4:21 PM

Today we had the opportunity to walk around Downtown Venice and pray. We prayed for the city, church, families within the church that are dealing with loss or grief, and residents dealing with rising costs.

Standing in Agreement with Agape Flights

by Lynesha Oby | March 16, 2025 4:27 PM

This local organization provides mail, deliveries, and supplies to missionaries located in Haiti, Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. They are currently believing and praying for the approval to expand their facilities to allow for additional space for the aircraft and supplies. We went to the grounds to pray that God continue to expand their territory as they provide resources to those that are committed to evangelism and missions abroad.

Prayer & Devotions

We then headed to the beach to pray for the community as they prepare for the upcoming hurricane season. We ended the day with our nightly devotion on the beach reflecting on James 1.

We started the demolition for one the sheds and repaired the shed next to it in the process. This was a fun project and we are excited to finish the demolition today.

Morning Meetups

by Lynesha Oby | March 18, 2025 10:17 AM

This morning we had a wonderful time meeting and having fellowship with our host partner. She shared about the ministry and the work that we are doing here which will help them provide disaster response support and space. We are excited to be a part of the beginning stages to assist in their community mission and efforts.

Village on the Isle

by Lynesha Oby | March 18, 2025 10:53 AM

Today we had a great time of fellowship with some of the residents at Village on the Isle. We had praise and worship and shared a mini message on how God’s love is eternal. Afterwards, we had one on one time to learn more about the residents.

Day 2: The work continues…

by Lynesha Oby | March 18, 2025 5:29 PM

Today we had a chance to finish what we started yesterday….shed demolition day. It was a lot of hard work, but the team worked together to completely remove the shed. We can’t wait to hear how St. Mark’s transforms this space.

So Long Venice

by Lynesha Oby | March 20, 2025 3:25 PM

As our trip comes to an end, we wanted to recap our last day. It was a beautiful day of quality time spent with each other. We went to the beach, shopped at downtown stores, and went to the North Jetty in hopes of seeing manatees.

We ended the night with worship and words of encouragement for the youth, leaders, & PPM staff. We appreciate the leaders and parishioners at St. Mark’s for the warm welcome. We cannot wait to see what God continues to do in and through this community.

Before heading out, we prayed for both Jacob and Lynesha as they continue to lead and serve in ministry.
