Day of Worship

by Lamoy Freckleton | May 4, 2025 9:57 AM

Come let us go into the house of the Lord. It is going to be hands clapping, foot stamping and tambourine shaking at the William Knibb Memorial Baptist church today. Jesus our present corner stone makes us strong and for that we are forever grateful!

We Celebrate You!

by Kareen Hunter | May 4, 2025 10:05 PM

One of our team members, Judah, celebrates his birthday in two days. Nevertheless, that did not stop him from getting a warm pre-birthday celebration song Jamaican style from the church! He could not help smiling from ear to ear and we are thankful that even on the mission field while serving others; we are still acknowledged and appreciated. Happy Happy Birthday in advance Judah.

No One Gets Left Behind

by Kareen Hunter | May 4, 2025 10:14 PM

The team went in today through the doors of the Falmouth Infirmary and they made sure that each resident got the opportunity to receive some quality time, attention and were all loved on! The intentionality that drove the team's spirit is one most admirable and we look forward to the week ahead to see what God will do.

Life with a Little SWAG!

by Kareen Hunter | May 4, 2025 10:27 PM

One of the beloved residents at the infirmary was all about the 'swag' today as he showed off his new baseball cap that he received from Chris, one of our team's chaperones. We asked him if he wished to remove the old one? His response was that we place the new cap on the old one. Then he asked; How do I look? Followed by the brightest smile!

Answered Prayer!

by Kareen Hunter | May 4, 2025 10:43 PM

Even the walls of the infirmary today could testify to the abundant joy that flowed effortlessly through every interaction as the team's visit was ANSWERED PRAYER! The team went in oblivious to the uttered prayer request made earlier today by one of the residents. He shared that he  prayed to the Lord earlier to send persons to visit, share and play games with them this evening and upon learning of our arrival, he is comforted in knowing that the Lord still does listen to him because he answered his prayer speedily!

The Connection is LOVE

by Kareen Hunter | May 4, 2025 10:55 PM

Today felt more like a family reunion than a first time visit. Our resident tour guide made sure that all the team members felt her warm embrace and experienced her contagious laughter that filled the afternoon. Our smile responses were automatic as no one could deny the love, joy and calming effects her affection brought with it.

After All!

by Kareen Hunter | May 4, 2025 11:00 PM

After an amazing afternoon serving at the infirmary the team got the opportunity to just put their feet in the ocean for a while before we headed out for dinner.

It's a Girl Flex

by Kareen Hunter | May 6, 2025 8:15 AM

Miss B made sure to connect with some of the little girls at the infant school as they played together. The intentionality of the team is unmatched and the teachers expressed how thankful they were for the team coming in to share with the students.

Laughter, the Soul Food!

by Kareen Hunter | May 6, 2025 8:26 AM

You could not tell that these ladies were meeting for the very first time as their laughter was so big, strong and authentic! Sandra, our team leader, along with the principal, Miss Williams, and another teacher took the time to connect. The teachers were excited to share their space with the team as they modeled their personally made tiaras, an activity done by the team for the children reminding them that they are 'Royalty'!

The Call to Serve!

by Kareen Hunter | May 6, 2025 8:45 AM

This little boy was not able to rebuild his tiara. David, one of our team members, saw him struggling and went and offered some assistance. They stayed right there and chatted for the next 10 minutes! If that's not what serving is about then I just don't know! God is doing big things through the team here on the island of Jamaica and we are forever grateful!

The Cornmeal BOSSES!

by Kareen Hunter | May 7, 2025 8:34 AM

The team was broken down into different sub-teams as they worked on parceling the food items. However, the cornmeal team's work ethic was unmatched as they tied out each bag with accuracy and consistency! We had a lot of fun watching.  They stuck to the task and did not move out of position until every last dust of cornmeal was nicely packed in one of the baggies!

Ready for the Road!

by Kareen Hunter | May 7, 2025 8:42 AM

We are parcelled, packed and ready for the road! The team managed to get all 25 food bags completed in record time. God is truly in our midst and there is no denying that He is about to do great things through the team!

Send Me!

by Kareen Hunter | May 7, 2025 8:49 AM

We began our afternoon with the sun on our faces and the SON in our hearts. With each step we got closer to our evening's goal of blessing families with much needed food items. We were blessed to have our partnering Pastor, Pastor Smith with us for the entire afternoon as we traveled through various communities in the Bounty Hall region of the parish of Trelawny.
