Calvary Baptist Church

We arrived right around six and settled in at the Boxing Center. 

After lunch we took a tour of the Restoration Facility. Where men and women who have fallen into a life of addiction  come to have their lives Renewed ,Rebuilt, and  Restored through the love and compassion shown to them  We look forward to serving with Restoration Ministries this week  

When they showed us the gym we had to shoot a few hoops before continuing our tour. 

Getting the garden ready for harvest time took a lot of work pulling weeds and preparing the garden for the community. 

After sorting the clothes a restoration we were able to partner with St Clemens in their drive through food and clothing distribution. What a joy it was to help this community with much needed support. 

At the main campus for restoration ministries we have been blessed by hearing the men’s testimonies each night after a delicious dinner they have prepared for our team. 

We asked the boxing club instructors if they might put on a few boxing matches for our two teams to watch hoping to encourage them in there sport. There was 42 of us cheering them on. 

We went to downtown Chicago for our Recreation Day. We enjoyed seeing the sites throughout the city. Eating at famous restaurants and enjoying a nice relaxing ride back on the train.
