St. Andrew's Church

Here we have our PPM staff for the week awaiting our arrival! Leah is our Trip Leader, far right. Kimberly is in the middle and is the assistant trip leader and Elsa’s the other ATL on the far left. We are so excited to serve alongside them this week!

We are so glad to be joining Spirit of God Fellowship Church in South Holland Chicago for Sunday morning. We are worshipping and listening to the word of God and what it has to say about forgiveness.

We are eating lunch at Aurelio's pizza! 

We are spending the afternoon in Whihala Beach in Indiana! 

We are spending our free time playing games together and getting to know each other better! 

We are ending our night off with some worship and discussion about today's service and tomorrow's expectations. We are so excited to start serving with Restoration!

We are starting our morning off with reviewing today's devotional. We are discussing Ephesians Chapter 1 and being chosen to be God's children! 

We helped alphabetize CD’s. Rumor has it, CD’s and DVD’s are back in style! They are going fast from the thrift store. 

At Restoration Ministries we helped cut down a lot of overgrown grass, sticks, brush, and mini trees on the back side of their property. It was fun to use power tools and get a good dent into this clean up!

We are playing volleyball with Karen at Restoration Ministries! 

There was a pile of mulch dropped off at the community garden at Restoration Ministries. We helped spread the mulch throughout the walkways and the sitting area. We got dirty, hot and had lots of fun!

We got to help out in a pottery class where the kids made sharks, fish, and a hammerhead-megladon combo. Hammladon? Meglahammer?

We spent some time outdoors playing with the children at the Day Camp! We played basketball, jump rope, bubbles, and more!

We are helping Restoration church organize clothes that they will be donating to another pantry later today!

We are helping ate St Clement's Episcopal Church's drive through pantry, passing out clothes and food while talking to members of the community!

We are praying that our last full day of work be full of God's will and that we know working together is better than alone. 

We are moving some donation boxes!

Wednesday is the thrift store 1/2 price day. So we helped organized the racks before the crowd came in! We had a great time going through and straightening the clothes! Later in the day after work was over, we decided to find some new treasures of our own!

Today we got to participate in teaching the children dance at Sulllivan Arts Center! It was a blessing to be able to use our gifts to love on the kids and teach them. 

Yesterday we celebrated Lily's birthday with ice cream from Soho Cafe! 

Today we got to see the famous “Bean”. It’s real name is cloud gate, and is a beautiful and unique piece of art in the city!
