Crossroads Christian Church

After the church service on our first day, we assembled hygiene bags to give out later in the week! 

Most of us watched the movie, “remember the titans” tonight for the first time! Carolina beach movie nights for the win!

Today we were at first fruit ministries, and learning how a food bank runs efficiently!

We’re organizing winter clothes so that when it comes time to use them, we can actually find them!

Today we served with Good Shepherd at the Sgt. Eugene Ashley Center which houses veterans and helps them find permanent homes and jobs but also provides a bed, food, and other support. We worked in their community garden this morning. 

Today we are cleaning up and organizing at first fruits, especially their sanctuary!

Today we have a different group at first fruits, doing food distribution again!

On Tuesday at Catholic Charities we not only helped with distribution but we got to build garden beds for a local community to use. 

This afternoon we partnered with Good Shepherd and washed the vehicles they use to help deliver over 500 meals a day or help transport people to where they need to go. 

We spent our last full day in Wilmington doing a variety of fun activities including going to the Piney Ridge Nature Preserve & Stanley Rehder Carnivourous Garden. We then spent some time at the beach before hoping on a ferry ride to end the day.
