FBC Salado Youth

FBC Salado arrived at Zion Community Church safe and sound. After getting settled, the boys were ambushed by a squirt gun attack by the girls. What a start to an exciting week! 

Today after a beautiful service at Zion Community Church, we headed to Standpipe Hill to pray over Tulsa. Following our prayer we learned how to be relational with the people we meet and how to pray for others. 

Some of the FBC students had the opportunity to help cook breakfast for the Sunday school kiddos this morning! This was a good start to our ministry with the kids at VBS this week! 

We ended our night with VBS prep with pastor Dennis. The space themed VBS is ready to launch with pastor’s ideas of caption faith taking off! 

This morning part of our group started work at “The Zone” this was a great opportunity to play with some kids and organize some spaces for the kids to use. The Zone is a camp program organized through Zion to help kids succeed in life and school. 

Ending our time at Bridging Hunger with pastor Rod's missionary song encouraging us to be a missionary everyday. 

Our second day of VBS started with some worship and fun crafts with each of our starship group. We are following the story of Saul to Paul throughout the week. So excited we had so many more kids today! 

We started our ministry this morning by finishing our gardening project. We pray this garden blesses this church and its community! 

After a morning of hard work we celebrated with a flour fight! Some of us required a sink shower before preparing for another day serving at VBS. 

Another day of VBS where kids are lifting their praises to the Lord. What an incredible thing to experience with so many kiddos! 

Captain faith promised the VBS kiddos he would end VBS by eating a double cheese burger with chocolate, whipped cream, and a cherry! These kids absolutely loved this. Marcus decided he would join the challenge and show them how it’s done Texas style! 

What an exciting game as we struggle picking a team to cheer for. We caught baseballs, played in some mini games on the field, and enjoyed some concessions. After the game we ended with one last closing meeting where we prayed for Zion and shared how this week has changed our perspectives. 

FBC Salado made their way home this morning after an incredible 4 days of VBS! So thankful they returned from last year to run this program again and hopefully we will see them again next year!
