Young Adult/College Mission Trip - First Pres Fort Lauderdale

We made it safely to El Salvador and we did our first mandatory stop, we had pupusas for dinner! We are so excited to see what God’s going to do during this week!

This morning we met the Pastor of the church “Casa de Gracia y Paz” and we are so happy because we had the chance to pray for him and ask God for strength and health for him and his family.

On Sunday service we had the opportunity to introduce ourselves and we also sang together. We feel so blessed to share our gifts with the community of God.

We shared the love of God with the kids! We learned from the Noah’s ark history, we sang, we danced and we finished the party with a piñata.

Today one of our stops was this Children’s home, a place where many kids have been taken in for different reasons. We learned to be thankful, to be present and to be intentional with our actions. Knowing that even with a smile we can change someone else’s day!

We are so glad we had the opportunity to helped out with different chores at “Hogar Padre Vito Guarato”.

Painting the one room schoolhouse we put in action our skills and we all made art with the things we had. 

Today we split into teams to purchase supplies for families - team frijoles and team fabuloso!! We found some basic food and cleaning supplies and had to work together to stay in our assigned budgets. Go team!

Today we went to the Boqueron Volcano in San Salvador. We had fresh air, a nice view at the top and such a good weather.
