The First Day of Ministry has Begun!

by Tracie Seer | May 13, 2025 9:50 AM

This morning, the green team is volunteering at the Capitol Hill pregnancy center.  The team blessed the center by bringing clothing, toys, and shoes that were donated by the Kid Konnection.  Part of the team started the morning by sorting these donations and making sure they were put away properly.

After lunch, the green team went to Seabury and assisted the age in place program by cleaning and organizing the attic.  By cleaning the attic, the age in place staff will be able to quickly find necessary items for the individuals they serve and for any necessary future storage needs.

Cleaning and Vacuuming

by Annie Knott | May 13, 2025 6:06 PM

Some of our group went to Seabury Resources this morning. We were excited and ready for yard work, but God sent lots of rain today and changed our plans. We cleaned Mrs. H's apartment and Mr. D's apartment. We even sang Happy Birthday to Mr. D who turned 91 today.

We asked him what his best advice was for us and he said "Keep Listening."

Preparing for Kids Ministry

by Tracie Seer | May 15, 2025 2:48 PM

This afternoon our group spent time  learning about the purpose behind the Kids Konnection ministry (our host partner) and how they use stories that relate to the children's lives to share the love of Jesus from Ms. Sherrita. We also took the time to choose and practice reading a story that the group will share later tonight with the whole team.
