Central Church

After a long day of driving we have arrived at Melber Baptist Church in Kentucky. This is our lodging location for the week. We are so excited for how God is going to use us!

It was such a joy getting to attend Sunday school with the congregation members of Melber Baptist. They are so welcoming and it was a great time of diving into His word together. 

This afternoon, we had the privilege of serving at Starfish Orphan Ministry, and it was a powerful reminder of what it means to be the hands and feet of the Lord. Our group jumped in, tackling a variety of projects like building furniture and organizing donated clothing. 

We filled the pews at our host church Sunday morning. 

We laid down plastic and mulch to help beautify the grounds for the Paducah organization that houses women and children who would otherwise be in a homeless situation.

Tonight after an amazing chicken roast dinner we all played games as a group. It was so fun and a great way for us to bond as a team. We are a little competitive when it comes to any games between the red, blue, green and purple teams. 

Green team found ourselves getting quite dirty putting down fabric barrier and mulch today. 

We had a joint worship service with FMBC of Cairo tonight. Our praise team lead us in incredible songs and we had a time of prayer over the congregation. Afterwards, they blessed us with cookies and punch. 

Started the day with hearts united and hands joined in prayer. Feeling grateful for this journey and the opportunity to serve.

Making a fresh start at Fresh Start Transition House! We cleared this fence line to help them continue their amazing work in the community.

Josiah was getting us ready for a full day of work by warming up and stretching in the fire dept parking lot. 

We cut vines and untangled them to clear the fence line at Fresh Start mission. 

We server over 700 meals out of this food truck to the Mayfield community. 

Today we tackled some high places (literally)! From climbing ladders to lifting supplies, everyone played a part in transforming this space. Grateful for willing hands, strong teamwork, and steady ladders!”

Last Night Reflections

Our last night was filled with something special. After a week of hard work, we came together to worship and pray. The atmosphere was so peaceful. It was a perfect way to end our mission trip, reminding us of the purpose behind everything we did. Grateful for these moments and the bonds we've created.
