We had a blast like little kids! Smashing the piñata was so much fun and watching the candy explode everywhere. Pure joy!

Sunday service
by Miriam Serna | June 8, 2025 6:29 PM
What a great time we had this morning at church!
In Sunday school, we learned about obedience to God’s calling, like Abraham. During the service, the sermon was also a great blessing as we were reminded of our responsibility to be compassionate in the midst of a selfish generation and to show God’s love.
The pastor and the church prayed for us to bless the work we will be doing this week.

Olé olé olé

We went to watch a soccer match to cheer on the church teams in the local neighborhood tournament.
It was a great show—they really know how to play.

Food distribution
by Miriam Serna | June 9, 2025 5:31 PM
Today we were able to visit Aurelio and María. After some difficult months due to a paralysis, Aurelio has begun to recover.
Both María and Aurelio were very happy to welcome us into their home and to receive the food basket.
María has not grown tired of praying that her husband would come to truly know Jesus. About a month ago, he began attending church.
We will continue to pray for his physical recovery and that God would keep strengthening his life.

VBS day 1
by Miriam Serna Sánchez | June 10, 2025 12:01 AM
Today was our first day of Vacation Bible School (VBS).We dove into an awesome Bible story and talked about how God’s ways might seem a little weird sometimes, but they’re always perfect and full of purpose.
We had a great time with songs and games. We can’t wait to see even more kids join the fun tomorrow!

The Amazing Cooks
by Adriana Leal Espinoza | June 10, 2025 12:03 AM
Graciela, the pastor's wife (on the left), and her sister-in-law have been helping in the kitchen these days. We are so thankful for them! They make the BEST food, and you can see how much love they put into it. Thank God for our sisters in Christ!

Spreading love
by Miriam Serna | June 10, 2025 4:50 PM
Today we had the opportunity to visit two families we had already met last year.
It brings us joy to see that they remain strong in their faith and to witness the gratitude in their hearts despite the challenges they face. They are a beautiful example of love, strength, and generosity.

Prayer walk and Evangelism
by Miriam Serna | June 10, 2025 4:53 PM
We walked around the community inviting children to the summer school.
We had the chance to talk with some of the parents and pray for the families.

VBS- La fe fluye
by Miriam Serna | June 10, 2025 10:06 PM
Today we learned about Noah, who chose to walk by faith and obey God’s voice.
A command as outrageous as building an ark when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky could easily have seemed like madness.
But faith is trusting God’s plan, even when you don’t understand the why.
That’s how faith flows.

El mirador
by Miriam Serna | June 10, 2025 11:24 PM
Today, we had a view of Ensenada, its port, the bay, and nearly the entire city, as seen from Cerro del Vigía, the most iconic lookout point in town.

The Family of God
by Miriam Serna | June 11, 2025 4:23 PM
“For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.”
Psalm 27:10 ESV
It’s beautiful how we can find God’s love and companionship in the hardest moments. Even when we feel alone, there’s always someone nearby who reaches out and shows us His love.
We carry these families in our hearts, remembering them in our prayers.

Santi
by Miriam Serna | June 12, 2025 12:12 AM
Today we went to the school to pick up Santi, Pastor Manuel’s son. He was very excited that his friends from Chicago were waiting for him after his final exam especially his friend Noah.

Last ministry day
by Miriam Serna | June 12, 2025 1:50 AM
Today was our last day of Vacation Bible School. We learned about how God loves us even when we fail.
After closing VBS, we wrapped up our ministry time with a general service, where we shared testimonies and a word of encouragement.
We were so happy to see many of the families we had visited during the week present at the service.
We hope to see all of them again next year.

A sweet thank you!
