Bethel Church

After leaving MN before sunrise the team arrived to our home base, in Loveland Colorado, after sunset!

It was an adventourous journey, to say the least! You will have to ask about it sometime!

We are looking forward to Bethel Church coming alongside Faith Church to serve the community of Loveland!

We were able to worship with the Choir led traditional service at Faith Church. 

Pastor Jim shared a message on Psalm 78 about sharing the great Works of God with the next generation so that they don't forget his goodness. 

After an amazing message from Pastor Jim. We gathered together with members of the Faith Church congregation to socialize over coffee and donuts!

2nd Service was led in wonderful worship with Laura our worship leader. 

Members of Faith Church treated us to a BBQ lunch! Delicious!

In the afternoon we split into two teams, jumped into two vans, and went on a scavenger hunt to find as many of the 44 "Loveland Heart" sculptures as we could find!

Winning team got a special treat and everyone got to explore the community we are serving in a fun way!

We had such a great time on our Scavenger Hunt throughout Loveland, we were able to find 19 of the 44 hearts and pray with several people in need. 

We finished off our first full evening watching the sunset and Worshipping at Horsetooth Reservoir!

Our Lago Vista VBS team is prepping for the Tuesday through Thursday VBS. 

The Theme is True North - Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. 

They are transforming the trailers of Lago Vista Neighbor to a wild Alaska setting.  

The team practiced our lesson that we will be leading. Others are a part of leading Games.

Faith Church is a huge support to Lago Vista neighbor which began 15 years ago, by a couple who wanted to help the community kids if Lago Vista trailer park to perform better academically and share the love of Jesus. 

The rest of the team spent the day doing various tasks around Faith Church including  mixing and pouring concrete, playground maintenance, painting (shed, fence, classroom), and deep cleaning the sanctuary!

We have been taking in all the beautiful areas during lunch and free times. 

This is Lake Loveland. 

We visited the Sculpture Garden in Loveland for a beautiful walk and time of worship. 

We gave praise to God and talked with a few people passing by. 

We have mini Jesus Figurines that we are placing in most places we go. 

Spreading Jesus all over Loveland 

Last night we gave "Peli awards" to each other and gave shout outs to everyone.

This morning we discussed the first 3 chapters of Ephesians and 

We helped Mary to pack her home to prepare for a move

We were able to pray for Mary before we left. 

It felt so good to help her while being an extension of the local church 

We were able to surround some of the staff of Serve 6.8 in prayer. We loved serving with them today while sorting clothes and food. 

Today the VBS team poured into 28 kids from Lago Vista community!

Ellery joined lead us in a wonderful evening of worship to the Lord. 

We are so blessed by the gifts of the Father that edify the body of believers

This morning some of our team spent time in prayer and writing encouragement cards on the shores of Lake Loveland. 

We met Gloria, on Sunday, while attending church. In conversations with us she told us she was needing to wash her windows of her house, but her kids really didn't want her climbing on ladders!  Wouldn't you know it...we have kids who love washing windows and we went to Gloria's house today and gave her a hand!

After washing all her windows inside and out and adding a bonus carwash, we were able to gather with Gloria and pray for her and her daughter!

Then she sent us off with some potato salad and cookies!!!

10 of us had the opportunity to join residence at the Good Samaritan Village. We went on a walk with the residence and shared smiles, sun and prayer. 

Today some of our group served at Lago Vista for day 2 of VBS. We had a great day serving and playing games with the kids. 

After lunch we packed up some food for people in need. We went to a park and the library to share food and prayer. We met many people and listened to their stories and needs. We brought their requests to Jesus and their thoughts to Him as well. 

We joined Faith Church Youth for a Youth Group night. 

We played a fun game, sang some worship and shared mission trip stories. 

The Faith Church youth group just served with PPM in Puerto Rico last week so we were able to here stories of how they served two local churches there and saw God move in and through them during their week of service. 

Our team also shared about our week serving in Loveland. 

It was a really encouraging time. 

After Youth Group we went to Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park. It was dusk and a wonderful way to close out another wonderful day of ministry. 

Next up we got to do some gardening at the Gardens at Spring Creek in Fort Collins, CO. 

The garden we are weeding today is called the Garden of Eaten as most of the plants here are edible and are used to supply produce to the food bank. 

It was fun and the nice overcast day was a great break in the Colorado heat. 

After lunch we traveled to Arvada and went to Mission Arvada at the Rising Church. There we helped out the staff with a big painting project!

We were able to visit a butterfly house at the gardens on Spring Creek. 

It was a beautiful reminder of our new creation as a follower of Jesus. 

We had a wonderful celebration dinner with our Partners at Faith Church. We had Raising Cane's and many testimonies of God's faithfulness in ministry this week. Ashlynn shared about the successful completion of Lago Vista VBS and around 14 decisions for Christ. 

We were able to surround our Faith Church Partners in prayer and thank God for the amazing week in Loveland. 

Then we went into our closing meeting where we shared our High, Low, Buffalo. 

We got up at 4:30am, packed lunches and all our stuff. 

Joe prayed for our hiking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park. 

Our PPM staff Kari and Paul waved us off and we know it is a See You Later and never a Goodbye in the Family of Christ. 

We were the first team to register and the last team to serve in Colorado for PPMs first year serving in Colorado. We hope to be back!
