Dutilh Student Ministry

We have arrived safely. We are all excited for a week of ministry in Lake Charles! 

We got to worship with Morning Star Baptist church as well as get to learn on Sunday school. We also helped participate in the service with scripture reading and prayer as well as leading 2 songs in worship.

We got to help landscape a church-members yard and help clean up debris. 

We were able to level out the dirt in order for the future plants to grow!

This area has been hit repeatedly in the last 20 years with natural disaster after natural disaster.

In that there is a lot of debris that has been torn around with floods and hurricanes. We hope the contribution we bring gives God glory and this community hope. The Lord has been faithful with this community through it all, and the community of Christ followers are able to lean on one another. God is working always, God bless Vinton Louisiana.

Students have been sharing devotionals every morning. There is no better way to start a day of ministry than to be able to read Gods word and meditate on it throughout. 

We were able to sit down and have supper with Morning Star. We got to listen to stories and gain relationships. Also might’ve been the best gumbo i’ve ever had.
