Trinity Oaks Christian Academy

After several days of delay due to the snow storm, we are now at Mount Zion Baptist Church.  Pastor Jason greeted us and told us of how God has been working at Mount Zion over the last few years.

We are excited to see how God is moving in this community as we get to work tomorrow. 

We are so glad to be here! It may be cold outside but the joy of the Lord is keeping our hearts warm. We are so excited to see what the Lord has planned for this week!

Today our team is serving at Catalyst in Mayfield, KY.  Catalyst is a ministry that is working to strengthen their community through numerous outreach programs. 

Our first task was to carry in some food that our team donated.

This evening we are serving meals to the community in Mayfield.  Meatball subs and mac n' cheese!

Starfish Orphan Ministry provides clothing,  furniture,  and household items to those in need as well as provides for orphans in other countries.  We enjoyed our time today working with this Ministry partner. 

Our Green Team is at Catalyst for a second day.  We are finishing our painting project, putting a second coat of paint on the walls and painting the doors green.  The guys spent the day securing and repairing a metal panel wall.  They also framed in an opening that previously held an unused vent fan.

We learned new skills with the guidance of Tim Barak to disassemble a stage that was no longer needed at Mt. Zion Baptist church.  Now it can be transported to Starfish Ministries for future use.

today we served at The Light House Refuge . This place is going to touch a lot of lives in the area. We got to help remove a lot of the old to make room for the new!! We are looking forward to seeing what the Lord does here in Mayfield!
