Christians Loving the Lord

After a good trip, we arrived in Minnesota.  After Mass at Ephiphany Catholic Church in Coon Rapids we headed over to our host Andover Christian Church and got settled in.  We are excited to see what God has planned for us this week. 

Today after church services with Andover Christian church,  we rode the light rail from Minneapolis to St. Paul.  We handed out waters and granola bars and talked and prayed with people we met. 

The Drawer collects and distributes new socks and underware throughout Minnesota.   They donate 10,000 pairs every month!  Although they are primarily focused on distributions in Minnesota they occasionally do special projects.   In 2022 The Drawer sent 12,000 pairs to refugees in Ukraine. 

Learning how to sort shoes into great, good, and grind categories.   Great shoes are sold for $6 per pair and good ones for $3 per pair.  The money raised goes to buy food for those in need.

Today we were blessed by Andover Christian Church with a breakfast buffet,  fellowship and sharing time,  and prayer.  We love you Jesus!

Tuesday evening we helped distribute the food that we helped organize and package earlier in the day.   We really enjoyed visiting with the people we were serving and seeing their smiles as they filled their carts with food. 

We then headed to our next partner, The Source.  The Source provides services to individuals and families in downtown Minneapolis who are struggling with homelessness.  The Source is a Christian ministry that meets peoples spiritual needs while providing for their physical comfort.   

At the source we prepared produce including potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions and apples for distribution later in the day.

Next we packaged meals for distribution throughout the world at Feed My Starving Children.   We had a great time working together and packed 26 boxes of meals!  We were joined by some of our new friends from our host church,  Andover Christian Church. 

After dinner with Andover Christian Church we treated the kids to a puppet show and then joined in some of the adult classes.   We so enjoyed spending time and fellowshiping with our host partner Church.  All glory to God in the highest!
