UCA Wesley

Hi, everyone! This is our staff for the week. They will be helping and guiding us in everything we are doing. They are Gabriel, Zoe, and Laura. We are looking forward to serving alongside them. 

We made it safe and sound to Costa Rica! Right now we are heading to Sarapiquí that will be our home for the week! We are eager to see what God has in store for us! 

Last night, after having a delicious dinner, we had our orientation meeting. The staff gave us some instructions and recommendations to be healthy and safe during the week. 

Today we spent a special service with the congregation. Pastora Ivannia shared about Elijah story and also taught about how important is as Christians to worship despite the circumstances. In the middle of the worship and the prayer God is working on miracles! 

This afternoon we also went to the soccer match and we had a blast playing soccer with part of the youth group. It was a great time!!!

This afternoon we had the opportunity to visit one of the schools of the community. We sang and danced, made some crafts and teach about Isaiah 40:31 and how when we trust in God he makes us strong and lifts us up. We also play some games and at the end we gave them some snacks and we prayed! It was such a wonderful time with the kids!!!

 Today, besides working on the restrooms project, we are also sandpapering some desks and chairs for the classrooms of the church! 

Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit one of the day care centers of the community. We taught Matthew 28:20, Jesus is always with us and he wants us to be his disciples. We also sang and danced a lot, and we played some games too. It was a wonderful time!!! 

Today we are painting the desks and chairs that we already sandpapered and also we are painting the front doors of the church. 

Today we went to the day care center and we were learning about John 14:6, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We only can meet God through Jesus.  We also took some time to play with a parachute and bubbles. We had a blast!!!

Yesterday, we went to a boat tour and we also visited a sanctuary full of macaws, monkeys and many flora. It was an amazing time. 

Last night was our see you later service. They prepared some typical dance presentations, and they also prayed for us We couldn't be more thankful for God letting us to serve this church and community.
