Church Service

by Melissa Castillo | June 15, 2025 11:58 PM

What a special Father's Day service we had tonight! We were thrilled to have some of the girls join the worship band, and we all really enjoyed worshipping together and lifting God's name on high. Pastor Tim then delivered a powerful message, focusing on Elijah the prophet and how God instructed him to hide by the brook Cherith during a drought.

by Melissa Castillo | June 17, 2025 10:20 PM

Day 2 of VBS was incredibly awesome! We enjoyed playing games, singing, and dancing, but we especially can't forget the story, which was based on the theme 'Praise the Lord' (Psalm 147:1-20).

Breaking Bread

by Melissa Castillo | June 17, 2025 10:40 PM

Tonight we had the opportunity to split into small groups and enjoy dinner at the homes of some of the church members. It was a special night to learn more about the culture and lives of our friends in Belize. The invitation into the homes made each of us feel like a part of the family. After dinner, the girls went to a local bakery and learned how to bake a Belizean birthday cake. As we wrapped up our day, we are full on food and friendship, ending another fun day in Orange Walk.

What a fantastic final day of VBS! We were blessed with 48 enthusiastic kids who fully enjoyed all the activities. Witnessing their happy faces brought us immense joy. We're not bidding farewell, but looking forward to seeing them again next year! To God alone be the glory for everything we achieved this week.

Farewell Party

by Melissa Castillo | June 19, 2025 12:41 AM

Tonight's farewell party included a lovely dinner with the family. It was an emotional evening, a mix of happiness at our time together and sadness about leaving tomorrow. We particularly enjoyed Lily's birthday cake, made by the girls, and hitting the piñata. The pastor, his family, and the church presented us with a token of appreciation. We had an amazing and unified time. We love Lily of the Valley Church; it's not goodbye, but 'see you soon!
