We are raising a candle in representation of us, the church, being a light for 2025. The church was going to do this on New Year's Eve, but the blackout on the whole island made it impossible. It's a blessing to be part of this time when pastor Tulio is blessing us for this year that's starting!

This morning we are at Iglesia Cristiana Sendero de La Cruz joining the congregation in their worship service. It’s a blessing being able to praise the Lord together as one despite the cultural and language differences.

After lunch we are now at the Cataño Boardwalk and we are praying for the surrounding community and the people. We met a few people along the way that not only asked for prayer, but also prayed for us.

Traditionally, in Puerto Rico, on the night of January 5th, kids leave out a box full of grass for the camels of the three wise men in exchange for gifts. Tonight we are taking part in this beautiful tradition and celebrating the epiphany the puertorican way.

We are also able to help Maria. She is currently living alone, so she was very happy when she saw us! We are able to help do some house upkeep, like folding clothes and taking the dust off many figurines she loves to collect! It is a great blessing to see Maria smile!

This afternoon we are working at Lizette's house, a member of the church whose aunt founded the church. We are doing some yard work and cleaning up debris and taking the time to get to know Lizette. She is telling us the story about how God healed her leg from an infection that almost made her lose her leg but he did the miracle.

We are starting our day with a big project to paint the science and technology room. This room was affected by hurricane Maria, flooded and deteriorated by sand. Since then the teacher has had to give classes like that and slowly build the room back up. Now we get to help out finishing touches by helping to paint it again so it looks bright and good.

Today we travel back home, but we want to close up this trip by doing one more Bible study together. Some of us have been doing these during the whole week, and we pray is something we can continue doing, praising and learning more about God, as a community of believers. God has given us lots to think about and to grow, and we know that he will continue the work he started in us

As we say our goodbyes to the PPM staff that served with us this week, and get ready to continue the work back home, our hearts fill full of love and joy over the ministry we were able to do alongside our new friends of Sendero de la Cruz, both Humacao and Hato Rey campuses. We made lots of friends, and we would love to return one day. Hasta luego, Puerto Rico!
