The team has made it safely to the island! Before settling in at Kauai Christian Fellowship, we gathered at St. John’s to meet Kapu Kerry and had dinner. Stoked for this upcoming week!

Started our morning at KCF’s Sunday service. What a joy it is to praise the Lord together! The team learned about mentorship through Paul and Timothy. Will you join us in prayer for this upcoming week?! 

We attended St. John’s Sunday service and had the opportunity to lead the congregation in worship! Also, had a warm welcome and got lei’d by the church! Thank you to the choir kids for the warm welcoming!

And our week has started! Yesterday we had the opportunity to start serving at St. John’s. The girls accomplished so much with re-painting the outside of the church! We are so blessed to lend a helping hand! 

The guys got to dig. As service projects continue we lend a hand by doing some landscaping to maintain and keep the grounds safe!

Some of the boys are putting in the work!! Using their strength to help clean up areas around KCF — raking, shoveling, branch dumping, you name it! Thankful for this church’s hospitality and happy to be serving. 

Today we began to install the boards on the perimeter of the fence! This fence will provide protection from wildlife for the tomatoes and other fruit that the Niihauan students use for the college fund production! Our team has been working alongside Uncle Danny, Uncle Sal, and Uncle Roger learning valuable skills and hearing some incredible stories! We are excited to see the finished project at the end of the week!

Grateful to come alongside some of the choir kids and tutor them through a practice test. Looking forward to our last day of STEM camp today!

Tonight we had the opportunity to work with the choir kids and some of the other leaders from the church as we juiced tangerines that we harvested earlier in the day. The juice will be sold at their fundraising event each Friday night and the proceeds will go to supporting the choir kids college funds. It was such a blast to serve in this capacity and to see the process from start to finish!
