Guatemalan Breakfast!

by Katrina Hulme | March 16, 2025 9:13 AM

We arrived in Guatemala late last night, and this morning we woke up to the beautiful weather of Guatemala! First stop, breakfast with our friend Erika in her new cafe. We are excited for all that this week will hold!

Church with Our Brothers & Sisters

by Katrina Hulme | March 16, 2025 11:24 PM

This morning we worshipped alongside our brothers and sisters from the Guatemalan church, and it was a joy to be reminded that although we speak different languages, we worship the same God.

Laryssa and Payne shared testimonies and Sam gave the message!

After lunch, we headed to the grocery store for a fun challenge: purchase groceries and cleaning supplies for the families we will visit while staying within budget!

An Answer to Prayers

by Katrina Hulme | March 16, 2025 11:27 PM

We packed up all our purchases into the bags for our visits this week, and then we took a moment to pray over the families that will receive them. We don't know what they may be facing, but we know that we serve a big God and He may use us to answer the prayers of His people here in Guatemala.

Food Distribution

by Katrina Hulme | March 18, 2025 12:45 AM

We split into two groups this morning to visit families and deliver groceries. We always enjoy this time to visit (& revisit) church and community members. Some of the visits today were planned and some were spontaneous, but all of them were blessed and special.

Pastor's Family

by Katrina Hulme | March 18, 2025 12:47 AM

One of the most special visits today was to Pastor Carlos' parents. We were able to spend time laughing, talking and praying for them. We can see where Pastor Carlos gets his sense of humor!

A big and beautiful smile!

by Brenda Vásquez | March 18, 2025 6:07 PM

Today we had the opportunity to meet Conchita, with a big smile she taught us and encouraged us to always trust in God and despite the circumstances we may go through, God is always with us.

The Prodigal Son

by Katrina Hulme | March 20, 2025 10:05 AM

On our second day of VBS, we shared the story of the Prodigal Son and invited the kids (& parents) to invite Jesus into their hearts. Several hands went up, and just as the father in the prodigal son threw a great party of celebration, heaven celebrated for our new family in Christ!

Women's Ministry Gifts

by Katrina Hulme | March 20, 2025 10:10 AM

We had to adjust our plans a bit this week, so we packed the gifts and Bibles for the women of the church. These Bibles, personal notes, watercolors, and more will be a blessing to 40 women and their families!

A Pause

by Katrina Hulme | March 20, 2025 10:12 AM

With the changes in our plans, we took advantage of the opportunity to rest, worship, and fellowship with our team. Even though it is not what we planned, we can see how God is working in the details and our faith is increasing!

Outreach Time

by Katrina Hulme | March 20, 2025 10:16 AM

This afternoon, we decided to walk around the neighborhood by our lodging to offer snacks, soda, and prayer to the neighbors. We had no idea what to expect, but God showed up. We didn't plan this ministry, but God did. Several people invited us into their homes, and 2 people accepted Christ in their hearts!

In the evening, we made it back to church for our "hasta luego"! We are so thankful for this time to hug our Guatemalan family, pray together, and receive encouragement from Pastor Carlos. God is good!
