Christ’s Table

by Kim Oleson | March 17, 2025 8:26 AM

Christ’s Table is unique to the area as they serve not just the unhoused population throughout the region but also to anyone who needs or wants a meal and fellowship. Donations on site contribute to the daily operations. It takes more than 17 volunteers every day to make it work. If they were paid a minimum wage it would cost over $200,000.00 per year.

Our team had an opportunity to prep meals for the community members who couldn’t make it in and counter service for those who could. Table Fellowship with the visiting folks was a once in a lifetime experience to walk out what it means to be a Christ follower.

Christ’s Table

Without food donations, quality meals with a wide range of variety are not possible. 576,000 pounds of food contributes to the fight against food insecurity that would otherwise be wasted.

Street Pastor

by Kim Oleson | March 19, 2025 8:34 AM

Miguel has been served by TrueLight and now serves those in need through daily Bible readings and fellowship with the guest. We were in awe of his testimony and how God has used his hardships and bad decisions to grow people closer to Christ.

Going where called

by Kim Oleson | March 19, 2025 2:00 PM

We had an opportunity to travel north to a 100 year old church to remove mildew and paint the walls to mitigate water damage. The pastor and his wife had no idea how they were going to be able to do all of this work; and then God nudged the Pelicans to fill their day in an unexpected way.

Lending a hand

by Kim Oleson | March 19, 2025 2:13 PM

Oh, the rewarding work of helping those who can’t help themselves. Not far from the church we had the honor of helping a woman who had recently had a stroke. The pastor and Tim, his friend were just talking about needing about 20 people to fix the repairs at the church and lend a hand to this lovely lady. Forty-eight hours later, prayers were answered when they received an unexpected phone call from Jonny.

by Kim Oleson | March 20, 2025 10:03 PM

Best end of trip group photo ever! We wrapped up an amazing mission trip serving the Zanesville community by stepping into uncomfortable spaces and showing courage every day. We are all a bit stronger and more confident in our walk with Christ because of it. Praise God 🙏🏼
