Lakeside Church

This is Daphne and Valeria, both are ready to start the week and see what God will do.

We have arrived to Puerto Rico. We are enjoying some delicious pinchos in Piñones. We are excited to see what God has for us this week! 

This morning we are joining the youth from ICDC Puerto Nuevo in their bible study. 

This morning we are joining the congregation of Iglesia Cristiana Discípulos de Cristo in Puerto Nuevo in their Sunday service. Its a blessing being able to worship and praise God alongside them.

This morning we're at Noris' house. We’re thankful to have the opportunity to paint the front and balcony of Noris' house and bring her a little bit of joy looking at her home that she has wanted to paint for some time.

Also this morning we're painting Ritas gate. We're grateful for the opportunity to serve Rita who does so much for her church (ICDC Puerto Nuevo) and community.

On our second day we're at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Río Piedras. We're serving this beautiful church by moving diferent things from their 4th floor; we're happy to help them with this task.

This morning we are at El Buen Pastor! We are getting to know more about the ministry that they do with the homeless. We are also taking some time to sort out clothes for their thrift shop. They use all of the funds they get for their homeless program. 

In the afternoon were moving on to the 3rd floor of Bautista Río Piedras and are helping move things from the pantry and other areas to leave space for the new flooring that will be installed soon.

This afternoon we are handing out flyers around the community to invite them to our service tonight. We are also presenting our service in prayer, so the Lord goes before us preparing the hearts and minds of the people from the community.

This morning we are also at a men’s shelter. We are spending some time getting to know them, and sharing life stories. It is amazing being able to bless them but also be blessed by them. 

This morning we're painting the playground for ICDC Puerto Nuevo. We hope everyone gets to enjoy it now that is painted. It looks great!

This afternoon we're visiting El Yunque Rainforest. This beautiful rainforest is full of local flora and fauna and rivers. What a great way to enjoy the end of our day and start wraping up our time of ministry in beautiful Puerto Rico.

Salsa music is very popular in Puerto Rico so we couldn't leave without taking a lesson on how to dance to it. We're having fun and we're thankful for the oportunity to learn something new.
