Great morning serving with CNHA warehouse organizing clothing donations for people affected by the fires.

This afternoon we had the opportunity to serve alongside Maui Rescue Mission. Every week they offer a shower, laundry, haircuts and other practical supplies through their mobile center. Our team got to help clean the shower, run the laundry,  and spend time getting to know the people who were there to use the services.

Tuesday our team partnered with Malama Kula to help remove invasive species. These invasive plants create many issues that can contribute to things such as erosion, flash floods and fires. The team spent the day weeding wattle and spreading wood chips. Praise God for cloud covering while we worked!

To go back a couple of days, on Sunday we worshiped together with the local community at Living Way Church. We then traveled Lahaina to pray over the people and area affected by the fires. Finally, we met with Auntie Netty to learn about what true service looks like and have her share about her ministry, Lahaina Resource and Recovery Center. It was a great day learning about the communities we would be working alongside and serving for the week and praying over them. 

Wednesday we had a great opportunity to serve alongside Lahaina Resource and Recovery Center. This organization provides everything from large items, like furniture, to daily basics, like diapers, to those affected by the fires. It was a busy day taking inventory of the supplies, unloading furniture and moving around the supply tents! 

On our final morning our team went on a hike together. A change in plans led us to a beautiful green spring area in the midst of a forest affected by the recent fires. We spent some time worshiping together and praying.
