Mt. Bethel Christian Academy

It's great to see our friends again after a year. This marks our 3rd consecutive year doing this trip after the pandemic pause. We are so grateful for the memories that we can create together. We are excited to serve the Lord together and see what God will do this week. 

Today brother Ronald gave us a powerful message about the two most important commandments. Love God above everything else.  Love your neighbor as yourself.

After lunch we are now here at the community of Las Carreras doing an afternoon VBS with the kids. We have music, games and much more. 

Today we are divided into two groups. One of the groups is back at Abel's house and the other is here at Carmen's house doing yardwork and tree cutting. Carmen has lived here for over 34 years and she is grateful that we get to help at her house. 

Today we return to Abel's house, as we continue the work started the day before. Today we are finishing painting the metal fencing, & giving the final touches on the roof as well as the window trim.

It's our second day of VBS and we are doing masks today with paper plates. As we play with the kids and interact we can feel the love of the community and we can also see how God is working and showing his love. We are making many friends!

Today we are visiting Vilma's house, who is a integral member of the community as she is a retired social worker & we are helpinga her with yard work in her home, as we continue to bless the community.

We are taking some time to get some mangoes from Vilma's mango tree. 

We are finishing our work projects and we are now praying for Vilma, for strength. 

Tonight we are at the church for the prayer service. We are excited to get to share how God has moved this week and to pray for one another. 

Today we are here at the Rainforest taking our team to enjoy God's beautiful creation.

After the rainforest we made our way to the beach and we are now enjoying and relaxing in the warm waters of Luquillo Beach.

Maria is an integral member of the church and has hosted us for years. This year she has not been able to be with us as much due to taking care of her husband. So today as we see her at dinner we don't want her to leave without praying for her and Miguel her husband. 

It's our final day here in Puerto Rico. As we are getting ready to fly back to Marietta, Georgia, we are taking the time to study Philippians chapter 3 and how we proceed to the goal which is to show Christ's love and to embody his Spirit wherever we go. Our trip is not here but it starts when we get home.
