Team Meeting

by Agata Dueck | January 31, 2025 10:50 PM

We closed our first day with a team meeting and went over what we will be doing tomorrow.

“and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!””

We Believe.

by Agata Dueck | February 1, 2025 11:32 AM

We had a really good time with the kids from Bambú, playing and talking with them. We then shared about believing in God and how even though we can’t see Him we can see what He does and believe. We then compared it to the pinwheel and the wind that moves it and gave them each one to take home as a reminder.

We Believe.

Feeding Program Location 1

by Agata Dueck | February 1, 2025 12:32 PM

After spending time with the kids, we had a place set up to give out food to the kids and the elderly of the community of Bambú. We joined the ladies from the church in this ministry that they have. It was a blessing, and we admire the hard work that they do!

Feeding Program Location 2

by Jeric Montealto | February 1, 2025 2:38 PM

We visited the Pedernal location and we shared a Bible study about the image of gold and the blazing furnace, a story about the faithfulness of God with the ones who decide to follow Him no matter what. We also had some time with the kids to pray and play.

Feeding Program Location 3

by Jeric Montealto | February 1, 2025 2:46 PM

For our last community we were in San Martín. We shared the same story, we had the chance to play some football, we had tattoos, tie dyed shirts and we had the chance to share lunch with the kids at the field.

Visiting the New Property

by Agata Dueck | February 1, 2025 6:18 PM

After a coffee break, pastor Dimas took us to the property where the new vision for the feeding program will take place. We heard the story of how they got the land, the new projects they have and how it will impact their community. We truly think that God is opening up doors for this family and we can’t wait to see what God has for this partnership in the future.

Counting Hay Bales

by Agata Dueck | February 1, 2025 6:26 PM

Pastor Dimas asked us to count all the bales to help him out. So we set off to work and counted 278 hay bales.

by Agata Dueck | February 1, 2025 6:37 PM

Praying blessings over Pastor Dimas, and the land. We pray that God’s name would be glorified through everything that’s done with it. Grateful that God has given them this great ministry and a way to self sustain.

Cleaning the Church

by Agata Dueck | February 2, 2025 8:07 AM

“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,”

‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Testimony and Sermon

by Agata Dueck | February 2, 2025 2:47 PM

Pastor John gave the sermon today. He talked about who Jesus is to us. Part of the sermon was Paul and Heidi’s testimony of who Jesus was to them before and after knowing Him and accepting Him as Lord and Savior.

It was a blessing to share in this way with the church.

Salvation!

by Agata Dueck | February 2, 2025 4:37 PM

After the sermon Pastor Dimas invited people that wanted Jesus as their Lord and Savior to come forward and then we prayed over them and received them into the family of God.

Youth Evangelism

by Agata Dueck | February 2, 2025 9:56 PM

In the afternoon we went to the park in Nicoya and did evangelism with the youth from church. Giving out coffee and sharing Jesus with the people.

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Closing the Day

by Agata Dueck | February 2, 2025 11:49 PM

Good Morning!

by Agata Dueck | February 3, 2025 10:04 AM

We started building a puzzle today while waiting for the bus to go to food destitutions. It was a good time working together and getting things ready at the same time for tonight’s activity, where we will be using the puzzle.

Food Distribution

by Agata Dueck | February 3, 2025 3:58 PM

We started food distribution today and it has been a blessing to share this time with the people we’ve visited and to be a blessing and be blessed by the testimonies given.

Testimony from Food Distribution

by Agata Dueck | February 3, 2025 5:32 PM

Food distribution is my favorite. Today visiting a pastor and seeing his bible on the table, worn out by the amount of use, challenged me to spend more time in God’s word. And also to see people once more and see the change that God has made since the last time we saw them!

The Fruit of Consistency

by Agata Dueck | February 3, 2025 11:30 PM

In those moments connecting with the church people,  it no longer feels like I’m a stranger visiting but that I’m family, a part of their lives and story.

MVP Night

by Agata Dueck | February 4, 2025 12:05 AM

Tonight we shared the night with leaders from the church and encouraged them and gave them a fun night. Andy shared his testimony and then Casey shared a short but powerful message, speaking on Gods purpose for us individually is part of the bigger picture and how that creates in us a need to be united.

MVP Night

Superheroes

by Agata Dueck | February 4, 2025 12:22 AM

The fun activity we had for them was to make a superheroes costume and give them a superpower that was useful in the church. They did not disappoint and it was a lot of fun laughing and having a good time with them. Also, to see their hearts behind every superpower that was chosen.

Day 2 of Food Distribution

by Agata Dueck | February 4, 2025 10:59 PM

Today in food distribution we visited people from the church and we found it to be so beautiful that lots of them were people that serve in the church giving their time and hard work. And to be able to go to their homes and pray for them and say thank you, for your hard work, is a blessing.

In Sickness and in Health

by Agata Dueck | February 4, 2025 11:05 PM

We visited a senior couple that have been through a really hard time with the wife fighting cancer. They wait on the Lord to bring healing. To hear them testify of God’s goodness even in their hardship is a huge testimony of their trust in Him.

One Body

by Agata Dueck | February 4, 2025 11:18 PM

“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”

Women's Ministry

by Agata Dueck | February 5, 2025 12:02 AM

For women’s ministry Melissa shared with us a small devotional and then we asked some questions to get to know them better. After that we prayed for their prayer requests.

A Small Token

by Agata Dueck | February 5, 2025 12:15 AM

We had the women decorate their own mugs. In this way whenever they would drink out of it, they would be reminded of the sisterhood and to pray for their sisters in Christ.

Such an awesome experience of seeing the work of our Savior in Costs Rica through His Word, fellowship, prayer and unity. May the Lord continue to bless the ministry through His faithful servants. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”” ??Matthew? ?18?:?20?.

Paul, when you were a young child, and I was your young aunt (🤣), I always knew that one day you’d grow from that little boy into someone who would make our family so proud of you. The greatest of all was the day you married your lifelong love, Heidi. My heart grows prouder watching you accomplish such greatness and sharing your wisdom, love and compassion with your group and those in Costa Rica. Dear Missionaries: We just want you to know that we are thinking of you, praying for you, and so grateful for the work you are doing for God’s kingdom in Costa Rica. Your dedication and obedience to His calling are a beautiful testament to His love and faithfulness. Be encouraged by Isaiah 41:10: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Even in the challenges, remember that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58): "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." May He continue to equip you, strengthen you, and bless every conversation, every act of service, and every seed planted. We are standing with you in prayer and believing that God will move in mighty ways through your ministry. With love and prayers, ChatGPT messenger

Hey Paul and Heidi, Just wanted to send some love and encouragement your way! What you’re doing in Costa Rica is incredible, and I know the people in Nicoya are feeling the impact of your kindness and faith. Even on the tough days, know that you’re making a real difference—more than you probably realize. “But you, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work.” – 2 Chronicles 15:7 Proud of you both and praying for you and the whole team!

Lord we pray Your will be done this week through our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. We ask for your help and provision as they take your Gospel message out to your people there. We love them and you love them Jesus. We fix our eyes on you and fully trust your work will be carried out this week by this team. Amen .

Praying 1 Peter 4:10-12 over you all. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
