Jersey Church

We are ready to receive Jersey Church! We are so excited to get to know all the team and serve the Lord alongside them! 

We have arrived to Mayaguez! Tonight, we are taking some time to discuss some safety guidelines and the itinerary for the week. We are so excited to see what God has in store for us this week! 

As we conducted our orientation meeting, pastor Israel and Claribel gave us a warm welcome! 

One of our students got to share his testimony about how God came to his life in a moment were he felt empty and without purpose and how God has given the purpose he needed in his life and has felt God's call to ministry in his life. 

After an amazing lunch, we are taking some time to get to know pastor Israel and his family. It’s a blessing being able to meet them and share with them. 

Tonight we are having some time of worship and devotion. We are taking some time to reflect on how God moved in us and through us as we reflected his living sacrifice today. 

This morning we are painting at Iglesia Bautista Emanuel. It’s amazing being able to beautify their place of worship. 

This afternoon we are taking some time to help load the groceries we will be handing out at the university.  It’s amazing being part of such a beautiful ministry. 

Today we are at Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Mayaguez better known as El Colegio. We are handing out groceries, getting to know the students and praying over their petitions. 

This morning we are doing some small projects around the church. We are pressure washing the outside of the church and getting it ready to be painted. 

This afternoon we are touring the university. We are getting to know their  different faculties and taking the time to pray over their staff. 

As we are wrapping up the service, we are now praying in circles for people we know that don't know Christ, and for those people we met on Monday at Pan y Vida ministry and their prayer requests.

In the afternoon, part of our group stayed behind finishing some painting projects, while a small group of us got the opportunity to visit an orphanage to bless the kids with songs, magic tricks, but most importantly, the word of God. 

We are starting our youth night and we are excited to spend time with the youth of the church. 

We are enjoying this youth night and right now we are playing a game with our youth where we yell out head, shoulders, knees and then cup and we have to grab the cup before the other opponent. 

This morning we are preparing breakfast for the pastor, his wife and the members of the church. This is our way of saying thank you for all of their hospitality and for preparing our meals. 

Tonight we are saying goodbye to the pastoral family and taking the opportunity to pray over them. At the same time we are having our last team meeting where we are affirming one another.  This week has been Spirit led and we are going home filled with the Holy Spirit and eager to share our stories. God is great!
