Cecilia Baptist Church

After arriving safely in Puerto Rico, we are taking some time to discuss some safety guidelines and our itinerary. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us this week! 

This morning we are joining Iglesia Bautista Ebenezer for their Sunday church service! We enjoyed worshipping and hearing the preaching in both English and Spanish. We feel so blessed by Pastor Miguel and his congregation! 

This afternoon we are enjoying some downtime. We are taking some time to explore the boardwalk of cataño and take pictures. We are also enjoying some delicious popsicles in Paletados.

This morning we are painting at Puerto Rico Christian School. It’s a blessing being able to help beautify this school. 

This morning we are helping prepare salad for the school lunch today. While a few of us are supervising the lunchroom, others are working in the classrooms and outside!

This morning we are helping out the teachers with classes. We are having so much fun interacting with the kids in their Bible, art, Spanish and PE classes. 

In the Pre-K Bible class, we are teaching about Moses and how he was transported down the river in a basket. The kids are learning in English and in Spanish!

This afternoon we are supporting the 7th and 8th graders in their volleyball game. We are so blessed to share this win with them! 

We are starting the morning right with a time of prayer over the school. Pastor Brian started this ministry with the teachers about 6 months ago, praying over any of the students or faculty who need prayer and also over general prayer requests.

The classes are going so smoothly today as we have already met the kids and know what to expect. Some of us are in Bible, others in Spanish, PE, and music!

This afternoon we are putting the finishing touches on the ramp! The school director Vivian is so happy with the outcome.

Now that school is over, we are helping tutor the kids in prekindergarten and kindergarten. We are also helping the teachers during pick up time by helping load the kids book bags into their cars. 

This morning we are joining the prekindergarteners in their art class. It’s a blessing being able to spend this time with them. 

This afternoon we are taking some time to pray over the teachers, classrooms, students and staff before we leave. It has been a blessing being able to get to know all of them and share the word of God with them. 

This morning  we are enjoying some doughnuts from Lemy’s bakery for breakfast. This is the perfect last breakfast to end our time here on the island.
