Our team has arrived safe and sound! We started off the trip with an amazing bilingual service at First Baptist Splendora. Both the Spanish and English services combined this morning to worship together as a Church family. It was such a blessing to be able to be apart of their congregation!

After service we were invited to eat and have a time of fellowship together. It was an amazing time getting to experience a true southern potluck but most importantly, getting to know the heart of this amazing community.

This afternoon we were able meet with our host pastor, Pastor Billy. He was able to give us a background of the community we are serving this week. After, we then went to go prayer walk the community together.

To start the morning off strong, we were able to pass out over 500 door hangers that share information about our partner church, First Baptist Splendora. We also were able to paint the new bathrooms and showers for the church as well.

This afternoon we were able to help our host church with many different projects around their building. From painting, building, and even some demolition. It was an amazing day of both working outside and inside the church to remind us of how to expand and encourage the local church.

It was another busy day of service here in Splendora. We continued to work on many different projects from painting to completely taking down large old signage. We can’t wait to fully complete these projects tomorrow!
