Church on MastersRoad

The team has arrived and we could not be more thrilled! After settling in at Kuaui Baptist Church we went to the beach, had dinner together, and went to bed to get some rest before church tomorrow. 

Everyone has been gifted with different ways to serve. Tonight our very own Pastor Brandon blessed our team with a black stone grill and a delicious dinner! This grill will serve the church and our missions teams for years to come. 

Today we had the privilege of helping to set up for Sunday service at Kauai Baptist. If you’re looking for a church to attend while on the island, Pastor Nathan would love to have you in his congregation! 

Service today was spent at Kauai Baptist Church. Some of us served with the children’s ministry while the rest listened to Pastor Nathan’s sermon about how we must remain focused on faith when we go to where God calls us. 

This afternoon Kauai Baptist Church youth group invited us to go on their weekly excursion to Lumaha’i Beach where we jumped off rocks, swam, and played volleyball together! 

This morning Church on MasterRoad was beyond generous in their time and supplies to build a shower for future teams and community. In addition they built well a Gaga Pit and Air Square court for the youth group. 

This morning the team also cleared out the brush to make the sign more visible to the community. 

This morning we were able to work at a member of the congregation's home. We worked outside of her house weeding, mowing, weedeating, painting, power washing, and cleaning! 

Every morning we walk from our church to get coffee together and talk about the hard work we put in the day before. These kids are a blessing to one another. 

This morning we were able to serve at St.Paul Episcopal where we helped prepare their tomato garden. This garden will provide even more support to their youth. What a blessing it was to meet them, serve with them and support their ministry which will go on to produce much fruit (physically and spiritually). 

Before our flights home we went out to Wailua Falls. To get to the waterfalls we either kayaked or paddle boarded and then hiked to the falls. Once we got there we were able to swim in the nice cold water. What a fun way to spend our last afternoon on the island.
