1st United Methodist Church

We thank the father for our safe arrival in Belize. We greeted each other with a warm welcome and we are looking forward to an exciting and fulfilling week.

We immediately jumped into our first task for the trip and started to organize the lumber for our upcoming work. Our friends at Galilee were so welcoming and reuniting certainly felt great. God we are ready for service this week… lead us Holy Spirit. 

Our hearts are full after a wonderful Sunday morning at church! We had a blessed time in Sunday School, followed by an uplifting church service. We even had the opportunity to lead songs and share testimonies. Pastor Jack delivered a powerful message based on the parable of the Good Samaritan, reminding us of the importance of compassion and helping those in need. It was truly a blessing to hear his words!

We had a Superhero Start to VBS! We're thrilled to report a fantastic kickoff to our VBS program today! It was a true blessing to see so many smiling faces, both new and familiar. Even a superhero made a special appearance! The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as we reconnected with our returning kids and welcomed new ones. Seeing their happiness is what makes VBS so special!

Some amazing ladies were eagerly helpful in getting groceries from the store to the church to get them packaged for the families that would receive them.  Everyone at the church  jumped right in to assist with the packaging of bags. We could see the divine movement of God in the lives of everyone joyfully  anticipating to deliver these food bags and bunk beds to the community. 

After such a fulfilling day Pastor Jack gathered the team into the church to explain ways on how we can impact our community.  He spoke about the different approach we can use in speaking  to someone who might not know God. Then we had the most dynamic drama by Derrick and David that had us laughing  the night away on their approach to evangelism. God did it again, he made us smarter in our thoughts and actions.

What a fantastic third day of VBS! We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces – around 60 kids or even more joined us today! The energy was contagious as we played games, created amazing art projects, and learned exciting Bible stories. The pure joy of these Belizean children is truly a beautiful sight. They never fail to inspire us!

What a glorious way to wrap up VBS at Galilee Baptist Church! We were blessed to see even more smiling faces join us today, making the program even more special. The focus on God's grace was truly evident throughout the day, and it helped everything run smoothly. We finished with a splash – water balloon games were a hit! Every child received a superhero mask, reminding them of the strength they find in Christ. The Bible study on grace was the perfect ending, leaving everyone feeling uplifted. It was a truly perfect final day for a spectacular VBS program!

Our final night together was so powerful and dynamic as we sang praises to our King, Father and Saviour. He made our time together so amazing, we were very emotional yet grateful to God for such good family in Christ. We were ask to pick an item that represent us that week, and the answers given were so touching, we could see the hand of God moving in the lives of his people. The icing on the cake was the affirmation of how God move us to be awesome heros.
