This morning we got to go to church with our partner church. The sermon topic was "Anchored," a great title to make us feel welcomed. We had communion and fellowship and worship preparing us for the week ahead.

After church we had some free time to head out on a hike. The weather was beautiful. We had some friends from our partner church join us. The whole time we were walking we could not stop thinking about how awesome God is for creating the mountains to the river. He did it all and we get to enjoy it!

After dinner we had some energy to head out for a little excursion to get some homemade unique flavors of Alaska ice cream. We tried the baked Alaska consisting of ice cream, waffle cone, and marshmallow fluff on top. We will be dreaming about it tonight.

For one of our projects this week we made a couple of runs to the hardware store. We are working on finishing a greenhouse and building a compost bin.

Today we helped fix a beam in a house. We had to get creative and work as a team to come up with ideas and encourage each other. Sometimes it meant standing on a metal stand to keep it from shifting as we cut it apart.

We got to finish the compost area for a community garden that one of our partner churches made available for the neighborhood they minister to daily with a fantastic park ministry. The garden is to reach the parents of the local neighborhood in providing a space to grow vegetables in the summer and perhaps make some new friends.

On Wednesday, we stayed around our partner church that is hosting us in the morning. We spent time painting, cleaning up a shed, and moving items to help cleae up space for a new preschool room.

We spent a couple of days moving furniture and then books from one floor of the church to another. This library made us want to stop to have story time, especially the book "Looking for a Moose."

We went on an adventure to get ready for a block party at C3. The store we ended up in for the cotton candy floss had so many options for us to choose.

One last project at C3 for the week was to put up a back splash. This project had been put on the back burner for a long time, but we could not let that happen any longer.
