by Augusto Marroquin | February 20, 2024 10:01 AM

We are in Guatemala! So excited to serve. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us here. Please pray for us while we are his feet and hands in Guatemala!

Meeting and Praying for our Pastor

by Augusto Marroquin | February 20, 2024 2:16 PM

We had the opportunity to get to know Pastor Jose. He is the pastor from the church we'll be working with during the week. It was a blessing to hear his testimony because we felt inspired to serve here!

Meeting and Praying for our Pastor

Let's Start!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 20, 2024 2:18 PM

We started with our first day of ministry cleaning the walls of the church because we will paint it this week! We are excited to see the results at the end of the week! It's going to be a new church!

Doing our Laundry

by Augusto Marroquin | February 21, 2024 8:51 AM

We learned to do our laundry in the traditional Guatemalan way. We used a pila which is like a sink to wash the mops. It was so fun and hard to wash just one mop. We can't imagine how ladies do all their laundry here. We are ready to do our laundry back home, if we have a pila...

Getting the Church Ready for Service!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 21, 2024 8:55 AM

We cleaned the church for our first church service. We also put up some new curtains. The church looks beautiful and smells so nice now! It's been great to be serving in many different ways in Guatemala!

A Talented Pastor!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 21, 2024 8:57 AM

During the afternoon pastor Jose told us that he learned to play the guitar when he was little, so we asked him to play a song during the service. He laughed, but he did it! We enjoyed it! He is very talented and has a huge heart dedicated to the Lord.

School Visit!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 21, 2024 10:12 AM

We started the day visiting a public school in our community. We had a lot of fun playing with the kids. Even when they didn't speak our language we could enjoy this time together. Language is not a barrier here!

A New Church!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 21, 2024 7:17 PM

We started painting the church today. It used to be blue but it's going to be orange. It's so nice to know that on Saturday when it will be done, it will look like a new church.

Soccer Night

by Augusto Marroquin | February 21, 2024 8:42 PM

Let's end the day with a soccer game! Tonight we had a fun time with the church playing a soccer game. This is another way to share a moment with our new friends from church. What team do you think won?...

Matthew 25:34-36

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 9:57 AM

During the morning we had the opportunity to visit the Migrant's house. There were so many lessons learned from this experience. We helped to feed around 250 people that left their countries because of problems they were having. Most of them haven't slept in a bed or had a normal meal. It was good to be part of this miracle for them.

Almost There!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 9:59 AM

It's so nice to see how different the church is looking! This is our second day painting and it looks so good. We are looking forward to seeing how it will be.

Steven's Sermon

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 9:51 PM

Our trip leader, named Steven, was asked to preach for one of the church services. We had the pleasure to hear what God spoke to him. We are so glad to be learning here and for getting more encouragement to continue working!

Back to School!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 9:53 PM

During the morning we went back to the school to play with the little kids. It was a different experience. The language barrier was a little different with them but we enjoyed playing with them. It was not an impediment to share with them!

Thank You so Much Teachers

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 9:57 PM

We are so glad because these teachers helped us play and keep the kids in order. Their hard work is inspiring. They love these kids and we could see the love of God through them. Help us to pray for the teachers of this school!

Soccer Time!!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 10:00 PM

Today Pastor Jose took us to a new community where he goes and shares the gospel. We played soccer with some youth from this community. It's so nice to see how fun this was for all of us. Just sharing as brothers in Christ makes us forget our differences.

This Culture!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 23, 2024 10:07 PM

We were hanging out in Esquipulas and learned more about this culture. Guatemala is so beautiful and we are enjoying learning a lot about it!

Feeding People

by Augusto Marroquin | February 24, 2024 6:12 PM

Today we went back to the Migrant's house to keep helping. We've seen that there is so much to do here. It's so nice to learn from the workers here. They do their job with so much love because they know that they are helping and loving people!

Dear God

by Augusto Marroquin | February 24, 2024 6:15 PM

Dear God, we thank you so much for the opportunity of being in Guatemala to serve and love your people. Thank you for this church that is taking care of the family. Please keep bringing more people that need you and show them your Glory as we've seen. Amen.
Dear God

A New Church!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 24, 2024 6:17 PM

Pastor Jose officially has a new church! We are so happy to see the work we did during this week. It was hard but God gave us the strength to do it. We pray that this will bring a new beginning and a new season to this church and to Pastor Jose.

What a Way to End!

by Augusto Marroquin | February 26, 2024 10:44 AM

Our last day with the church was so special! We had a bonfire where we learned and shared about our time serving the Lord in Guatemala. We ate cake and set off some fireworks! It was so amazing to see the love of the Lord in this community!

Volcan de Ipala

by Augusto Marroquin | February 26, 2024 10:46 AM

We had time to swim in a Guatemala volcano! It was a really nice hike that we had with some kids from the church. We had the opportunity to know new places of Guatemala.

See You Soon

by Augusto Marroquin | February 26, 2024 10:48 AM

We don't want to say goodbye, so we'll say see you soon! What a wonderful time we had in Guatemala. Now it's time to go back home and share all about what God did here.
