Gayton Baptist Church

Before starting our planned mission work this morning we were able to assist with loading totes of food for school children.  The Columbus Baptist Association preps these totes which are then taken to schools to help feed kids on the weekends.  540 children are blessed with this every weekend at 15 different schools.

A part of our team spent the day painting at the offices of the Columbus Baptist Association.   The team did a great job and finished the task quickly.

This morning we did some outdoor cleanup at the Columbus Baptist Association building.  We helped out by cleaning out gutters and trimming some hedges.

Tuesday afternoon we were asked to help at Columbus Christian School.  They did not have a flag pole and  Wednesday is See You At The Pole day.  We got the flagpole installed so the students could gather at it to pray this morning.

In addition to the flag pole we also put skirting around one of the buildings, poured a concrete slab, and fixed a floor.

On Tuesday two of our guys stayed at the Columbus Baptist Association building and updated all the light fixtures in the meeting hall.

On Wednesday we installed flooring in 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a hallway of a home.  We were assisting one of the members of Crossroads Baptist Church who is doing most of the work on this home.  The home is for one of his employees and his wife who are having twins tomorrow. 

Before leaving for the day we prayed together for God's blessing on the home, those working on it, and the family that will soon move in.

One of the ministries of our host pastor and church is building ramps for local residents.  Our team was able to bless a local resident in need of a ramp today.
