MissionView Church

Last night we arrived in Cerro Gordo, NC and settled in! After orientation we had a debrief of the travel day, handed out affirmation beads, and had the opportunity to hear the testimonies of Brant and Josh!!

Today we attended church service at Cerro Gordo, one of our partners for the week! We listened to amazing worship music and a powerful message from Pastor George focused on the importance of our mind! 

After service and lunch we split into our ministry groups for the week. The VBS group is preparing a David and the Lions Den skit, crafts, and worship!

Another group spent time practicing praying for each other out loud through the Prayer Web activity! We prayed over each other and for a meaningful week. We also shared our favorite bible verses!

We are starting the morning off in prayer as we all head out to our ministry sites. Will you join us in prayer? Whatever comes our way, whether rain or changing plans, we know the Lord’s purpose will prevail and He has beautiful plans in store!

Today one group held a VBS for kids in the community! We started out with some worship time which included music, dancing, and fun hand symbols that went along with the songs!

Today part of our team was able to repair a deck for their ministry. They replaced the rotted planks, cleaned up the yard, moved in some furniture and prayed with the homeowner before heading to the next ministry site. 

After getting multiple balls stuck in the ceiling our team had fun thinking of creative ways to get the balls down. They did succeed and got all balls down and enjoyed a lot of laughs in the mean time. 

Today part of the team helped clean out a school. Travis and Thomas worked hard filling up a trailer with garbage and chucking it into the dumpster! 

VBS DAY TWO!!!  We learned about Daniel and the Lions Den and how God can help us overcome any valley or obstacle in our walk with God. He is truly a great God, and as always we had a BLAST!!! 

Mikey and Xander kept busy cleaning out the gutters of the preschool!

Today one group continued to clean out a school. Working out in the hot sun the team did an amazing job getting everything done efficiently and showing God’s love through encouraging each other!

After a fun-packed day at Carolina Beach, we had our last debrief of the trip. We started off with Brant, Mikey, and Brooklyn leading us in worship. 

We left this morning bright and early! It was an incredible week seeing the Lord move in North Carolina. Blessings on your summer and life on mission MissionView church!
