Creston Church

Today, We went to Vicco Church of God for a morning service! With pizza for lunch and taco soup with chips for dinner. We certainly got full before our first day of work tomorrow. Pray that we get good rest and wake up with a passion for service!

Today, among other things, we walked along the creek cleaning out any trash we could see. We had fun in the water while getting to clean up the environment! 

It’s been a long tiring day full of hard work, good times, and Jesus. Some of just needed a little nap. 

Today we’re out in the community of Hazard, Ky serving at a food pantry and handing out snack bags to people as they wait in their cars. We get the opportunity to have conversations with and get to know the people in the community as well as pray for and with them. 

While serving, it’s also important to invest in each other and keep everyone’s spirits up, we had a little bit of a break and decided to play a game with the other team we’re serving alongside of. Loads of fun!

Today, some of our brave gentleman scaled a tall ladder and faced a difficult task - fixing the trail lights. With hard work and dedication, the lights are on and the trail is illuminated. It’s now officially safe for summer camp!

This morning we worked to clean out the arts and crafts building. Children use it all summer, and it needed some organizing and cleaning. Our crew got it done at record pace, and it looks fantastic!

Today our team is conquering a much needed task. We are adding rat wire to the screen doors around camp. This project will make the doors last for years to come!

After an amazing week of mission work we had a bonfire last night to end our journey. We had an amazing time enjoying fellowship with each other and worshiping the Lord. We grew new bonds and created memories we will never forget!
