This afternoon we went on a prayer walk around Jamaica Plain. We went with the youth group from St. Andrew’s UMC and spent time praying at different spots near by. We had people stop and ask us what we were doing and were able to pray with them as well!

We got to hear from our ATL Bekah this morning for our devotions. We were encouraged with and reminded of the boldness that we can have because of what Christ has done on the cross for us.
We have gotten to apply this boldness into our ministry today and hope to continue to do so as we venture around the city a bit on our Duck Tour for the evening.
Happy Memorial Day!!

The Greater Boston Catholic Charities has been a consistent positive presence in this community for many years. They provide not only free food daily for two different time slots a day but also lots of programs that offer various resources. One of the biggest programs is English Classes. Anyone who wants to learn English can come on by and join the free classes that occur for as long as they would like.

Today we were able to partner with East Boston Soup Kitchen. This organization provides lunch on Tuesdays to local people in the community. Mainly people with addictions and who are homeless. On Monday’s they offer groceries. The goal of the soup kitchen is to invite people in with a high quality meal and then offer other services like help with paper work and fresh hair cuts.
