Our first night began after midnight as we settled into our host church for night one. First Covenant church in Anchorage has such a wonderful heart for mission. We got some rest, had a great breakfast and are headed toward the Kenia Peninsula where we will serve this week. Here’s a glimpse of the drive south!

Beluga Point

A great spot for pictures. There is no denying that our Creator has been at work. Breathtaking views of the Cook Inlet as we travel along the massive Chugach Mtn Range. In summer months, Beluga Whales can be seen here during high tide. There is so much to see here!

Ice and Snow

After a 4 foot dump of snow a couple of weeks ago here at Solid Rock Bible Camp, it's time to clear the walk ways of ice and packed snow.

SRBC serves the local church by providing an excellent Bible Camp for youth. We’re so excited to be helping them prep for a busy season.

Nothing will be left untouched. We are serving by helping the camp kitchen staff prepare for the busy season. Most of us have had experience back home with this process. God is using our skills to be a blessing in Alaska.

Snowy Alaska

We had a very snowy drive back to Anchorage. But what a beautiful place to serve. We saw moose (which is also the plural form). This is our entire team including Pastor Rick. Tomorrow, we begin our journey west to a remote village.

Alaskan Van Wash

As we were headed out the dining hall door, this young bull decided to drop in and give our van a good “lickin”. He loved the salt that was stuck on the sides.

We made it to Bethel!

This is PPM's first trip to Bethel! The team is thrilled to be a part of a new initiative by PPM to bless village Alaska by bringing the joy of Jesus to these remote communities. We have plans to serve Bethel Covenant Church by helping with maintenance of church buildings and by serving at the weekly church events. Pray that we develop strong relationships rooted in Jesus as we seek to be His light to this community.

Sunday Morning Church

This morning we were honored to attend a joint church service with Bethel Covenant Church and the Moravian Church. The team enjoyed the great sermon from Pastor Adam as well as the hymns sung in the native language, Yup'ik.

Serving the Local Pastor

After church and lunch we went to the old church parsonage to help move some household goods for Pastor Adam. Many village communities have limited and expensive housing, so the church is able to assist the church staff by providing homes for them through a church parsonage. It was around 5 degrees and quite gusty as we moved boxes and furniture between garages and vehicles.

Each evening we take time to let one person share a devotional along with their personal testimony. God truly shows up and moves in our hearts when we hear His people's stories and His work in their lives.
