Following mass at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Palmer we took a drive up into the beautiful Talkeetna Mountains to enjoy the snow and the views!

On Sunday afternoon we made the drive up to Willow to watch the start of the 1000 mile sled dog race, the Iditarod. What a fun Alaskan experience!

This morning 7 of us served at Thrifter's Rock helping to clean and label a variety of items that will be sold at this church owned thrift store in order to support mission work around the world. Following the morning at Thrifter's we are headed to Palmer and made a stop at Band of Brothers coffee shop for lunch and a coffee break.

We had a wonderful time hanging out with local youth at the YAK center in Palmer. The YAK is a local non-profit youth center that provides a safe place for youth to spend their afternoons hanging out and building relationships.

Half of the team returned to Thrifter's Rock to clean and sort donations that will be sold to support global missions. The team has accomplished so much in the last two days that the manager has to keep finding more for them to do!

We stayed up into the wee hours of the night to see the Aurora Borealis. It finally came out for a short time to the elated screams of the team!

The team worked (and played) hard painting at St. Therese's Camp all week. As the team painted they intentionally prayed for the future counselors and campers that will be filling these buildings in just a few short months.

The Incredible Matanuska Glacier

The team had booked a cruise out of Whittier to see the glaciers from the ocean, but it was too windy to go out. Instead we went to the Matanuska Glacier for a tour of the largest glacier in North America that you can drive to. It blew us all away!
