SWC Mission Team

We arrived safe and sound! We are so excited to serve in the local church in Santa Rita. Can’t wait to see what God is gonna do during this week. 

After a long trip to Santa Rita we had a meeting to talk about how to stay healthy and see the schedule for tomorrow. We are ready for this week! 

Today in our service Heather and Jeremy shared their testimony to build up and encourage the church. We definitely saw the mercy of God through them! 

Today Pastor Jorge preached based on Luke 11:1-4 where Jesús taught his disciples how to pray and part of that prayer was about forgiving others-even those that sin against us. 

God definitely spoke to our hearts this morning! 

This afternoon all the group had a wonderful time with the pastors. Pastor Jorge and his wife shared how they became pastors and how God lead them to do His purpose. 

We were also able to pray over Pastor Jorge and his wife so God can continue blessing their ministry and their family! 

For a sunny day like today it was necessary to go to the river. The water was so refreshing and perfect for swimming and diving. 

After spending time at the river we went to the grocery store to buy all the supplies we will need for food distribution during this week. 

It is always a good time to eat good ice cream and today was no exception!!!

In the morning we had a moment to prepare the bags of food!

During this week we'll have the opportunity to meet and bless 17 families. We're extremely excited! 

We were able to deliver six bags of food today and it was such a blessing to see how God is moving through us in this place! 

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

On the way to church we were singing and having so much fun! 

Teamwork makes the dream work! 

Today we started the project of painting the church. It was a wonderful time.

In the afternoon we went to a community called La Tabla to share time with the kids. Cosette talked about serving and being kind to others. 

We had an amazing time there, sharing God’s word and doing some fun activities. 

This morning we are still painting the church and working on every detail. It has been a great blessing to serve in this way so the house of God can be more beautiful. 

In the afternoon we went to a nursing home to share with the elders. We played bingo and dominos. We were so blessed by going there! 

During the afternoon we went to a community named Santa Isabel where we sang, danced, shared the gospel and had so much fun with the kids! 

On the way back to church after a busy morning, we stopped at a lake to see the wonderful view and takes some pictures! 

We also ground coffee, ate some cajetas and drank coffee. We had so much fun! 

Today we had a beautiful day where we visited a chicken farm and we were able to learn their process. 

What a blessing is to serve God in this way! 

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” Matthew 19:14

At the celebration service people of the church gave us a special gift. We really appreciated it!
