King’s Academy has arrived in Seattle. We are settling into our new home for the week; a Christian camp in southern Seattle.
Seattle welcomed us with rain and some snow but that didn’t dampen our excitement. We are looking forward to the service and work projects for the next week.

We had the most amazing morning attending Bread of Life International Fellowship and Real Life Church.
We met the most wonderful people from all across the globe, and were so blessed to be able worship with them.

After our church services at Real Life Church and Bread of Life, we had lunch as a team at Round Table Pizza and then headed to downtown Seattle for the afternoon. The group was able to spend a couple of hours exploring Pike Place and local shops.

Today we are working at several different homes in the community. We are doing everything from yard work and painting to moving old appliances.
This group is doing yard work for a young family who just moved to the area and don’t have time between jobs and a baby.

Before we split up to go to the five different houses that we were serving at for the day, we gathered to pray. We wanted God to work in and through us, and be a blessing in the local community. We can only do that by remaining focused on Him, so we started the day with prayer.

At one of the houses, we removed all the weeds, plants, and dead leaves to make room for new fresh flowers. The team did an excellent job weeding and leveling the dirt so it was ready for planting.
It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.

This afternoon we worked with We Heart Seattle with cleaning up a lot in the downtown area that has been used as a camp for the last 2 years.
We Heart Seattle has been providing garage services for the people staying here for 2 years.
The community was so exited to see all the clean up happening, and we were so humbled to see some people’s living situations and speak to them about their lives.
We ended up removing 30,000 lbs of garbage.

One group this morning went back to the same house as yesterday to continue working. We did a second coat of paint in Ms Barbara’s garage and did the first coat in the bathroom. She was so excited and we are thankful to be able to bless her in this way!

We also have been doing some yard work at Ms Barbara’s. We got some more white stones to help create her vision for the side of her yard.

We had a great Wednesday. We were all over the place today some at local homes, a dirt bike ministry, and RealLife Church. We worked hard and decided to finish the night off with worship at RealLife.
A perfect end to a perfect day.

On Tuesday night our group enjoyed our team meeting around the campfire with worship, hot chocolate, and s'mores. Our hearts were full of what we accomplished through our service, and our bellies were full of tasty goodness.
For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

It is our last day in Seattle so of course we had to go back to Pikes Place one more time this morning.
It is rainy today but that didn’t dampen our excitement to ride the ferry across the bay. Once we arrive on the other side it is a beautiful hour drive back to camp through the pine forests that Seattle is so famous for.
But of course what is a boat ride without a titanic recreation.
