Canyon Del Oro Bible Church

We arrived in Puerto Rico. Thankful to God for allowing us to have a safe flight and to be here.

We are at the Bible study of the First Baptist Church of Humacao directed for young adults.

We are at the Sunday Service at the "Primera Iglesia Bautista De Humacao. Regardless of the language barrier we can worship God together.

Our host church prayed over us to prepare us and other volunteers for the week ahead of us. May God use us for His glory. 

We are having dinner with some young adults from the First Baptist Church of Humacao, sharing our cultures. Good memories and experiences.

We are starting the day in our devotional time this morning before starting the VBS. It is better to give than to receive, everything has a purpose.

Today we started the VBS. We are exited to see what God has in store for all of us this week. 

We had lots of fun helping the little kids learn about Jesus with a little art. 

We are replacing emergency exit signs in the church. Thank God for giving us different talents with which we can help others.

We start our day with our morning devotional, preparing for today. God is in every moment.

We survived day one. Today we keep spreading the word of Jesus with the theme of the week: “Following Jesus changes everything” 

We are in our second day of our Vacation Bible School, preparing choreography for the closing of the camp.

We are teaching Bible stories to the children of the Vacation Bible School. Brenda has brought some good stories to later recreate them with popsicles.

We are ready to play. For recreation time we have some games prepared for the children of the Vacation Bible School, all according to their ages.

We continue to replace the emergency signs, cleaning the fans and the cafeteria area. It is nice to be able to serve others.

Tonight we lost electricity but not the light, as Jesus is the light. We learned that to worship all you need is a willing heart and the Holy Spirit does the rest. He really is a light in the darkness. 

Today we worshiped alongside children and found there is joy in the house of the Lord. 

We are teaching Bible stories with crafts to the children of the Vacation Bible School. It is a good time sharing with the congregants of the First Baptist Church of Humacao.

We finished our arts and crafts projects with the little ones. This allows us to understand that you really have to be like a kid to enter the kingdom of heaven.

We continue to replace the emergency exit signs and lights in the facilities of the First Baptist Church of Humacao. Thank God because it has been good.

We are at the prayer service of the First Baptist Church of Humacao. How good it is to be able to worship God together in different languages.

In the middle of the worship service the electricity went out. That did not prevent us from being able to continue our worship service with our testimonies.

Today we have our recreation day. We are excited to walk the streets of Old San Juan.

today we are on our beach day, we are grateful to be able to enjoy the beach this week, excited to see our friend and brother Justin, be baptized in water for God

Today the kids prayed over us as we leave the island. I think we received more than we gave.  

It was truly a blessing to have been able to share our week with this amazing group of people. 

Our group could not say good bye to Humacao without a quick visit to the beach on our way to the airport. 

Having some good food. No trip to Puerto Rico is complete without a Nutella frosty. After two failed attempts we finally got our treat. Third time’s a charm. 

After a week of giving and receiving blessing we say good bye to island for now. We know we will be back to share with these amazing people and their culture filled with love, spirit, joy and food. Until next time.
