ITOWN Church

The team arrived late Saturday afternoon after a long drive! We are so excited to start work projects this week!

The team enjoyed Sunday Morning Worship with our host church, Virgie Baptist Church. Pastor Thomas preached a wonderful message about sharing Christ’s mighty works with others. The team intends to do just that as they reach out to the community this coming week!

This morning half of the team went to work on Ms. Angie’s home and yard. We cleaned up the yard and tore down her old porch in preparation for building a new porch and new steps to make her home safer for herself and her son. The rest of the team went to Lowes for supplies.

The team began pressure washing and pulling up boards in order to repair and paint a porch. They also did yard clean up.

This afternoon the entire team went to a home and worked hard to pressure wash the home, pull up broken boards, and repair the porch and steps. With so many hands on deck, the work was completed quickly!

Today, half of the team continued to work on Ms. Kim’s home to restore her porch while the other half visited with Ms. Brenda and helped her with several projects .

This team is unstoppable! Even on their free day they decided to do some ministry. Some of the team replaced a hot water heater in a flood survivor’s home , some of us prayer walked around the community, and some made cards for the people they’ve ministered to this week!
