Faithbridge Student Life

We made it! After getting settled we played some knockout basketball and had fun getting to know each other! We’re excited to get to serve in our new community this week!

Today we gathered around a memorial in Mayfield to take time to pray for the people in Mayfield and the surrounding area. We looked at the destruction the tornado caused to help get an idea of how much it truly impacted the community and the people around it. 

Today, we met our host pastor, Bro. Wayne Berry.  He's an incredibly great host and a sweet man.  One of the things that makes him and his church so special is that our original host church had an unexpected event that caused them to not be able to host us.  In less than 4 days, Bro. Wayne and his church prepared to host our team!  We can't wait to see how God might allow us to serve them in return!

This evening we had fun hanging out and getting to know each other better! We played card games and Gaga ball!! The competition allowed us to get closer as a group and have fun while doing so!

Tonight, we had an ice cream party!  Afterwards our adult leaders had their own ice cream party!  From all the loud laughter, it sounded like they shared many funny stories!

Today we continued the work we began at the fairgrounds. The Fairgrounds is a location that houses supplies that have been donated for the tornado relief.

We sorted, covered, and moved all types of stuff to be used in a giveaway drive! We had fun and laughed all day! It was so cool to get to talk with community members and hear their stories!!

We have had amazing times of worship and devotion.  God has really moved as Al led us in worshipping, and not just singing, and our PPM staff has shared moving and vulnerable devotions.

This morning some of us went to a warehouse where there are pallets of donations for the tornado relief. We counted boxes and collected an inventory so that the items could be moved for distribution! We had fun racing to see which group could get done counting first!

Wednesday nights during the summer are fun! We got to play kickball with the youth group at Liberty Baptist Church! The score didn’t matter to anyone because we just had so much fun playing!

We went over to Community Fellowship to help clean and organize the church! It was a lot of fun and with almost 15 people there, we got the work done in no time! The girls even overachieved and made multiple cabinets full of top ramen!
