Carlson

The Carlson family safely arrived at Cerro Gordo Baptist Church yesterday evening! We know the trip will be worth it and we look forward to serving!

We are making flyers for vacation Bible school along with members from Fourth Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church! We will hand them out later today.

The Carlson group had an amazing time at church. The congregation also loved having them!

Today was the start our vacation Bible school! We performed skits of Bible stories, taught Christian songs and choreography, and played games with the kids. We were happy to meet the kids and spend time with them!

After VBS, we went to clean a house that belongs to Whiteville United Methodist Church. Years ago it was used for the youth, and soon the church will house mission groups there! Our partner overseeing the work told us that our many hands transformed the look of the  house in just an afternoon!

Today we continued our vacation Bible school. We did not have a big turnout, but we learned about Jonah and Zaccheus, and we had fun playing games!

Today was the final day of VBS. We shared more Bible stories with the kids and enjoyed a fantastic lunch provided by Mrs. Carol and her friends! We are thankful to Mrs. Carol for welcoming and facilitating our involvement in the community, and we are thankful for the opportunity we had to love on the kids who came to VBS!

We spackled and sanded the walls of a mobile home that suffered storm damage. The mobile home is being renovated and given back to the owner.
