Today, we took a brief tour of some of the tornado-affected areas in Logan County. We heard about the effects of the tornado on families and on churches.
We then gathered in the parking lot of one of the churches damaged by the tornado and prayed specifically for them and for the other churches in Logan County.

Today, we enjoyed Sunday School classes and worshipping with our host church. Pastor Jered preached from Philippians 3. He encouraged us to fight for our joy in Christ and to avoid joy killers. At the conclusion of the service, Pastor Jered asked us to come forward so the whole church could pray for us.

We began our ministry day by distributing VBS door hangers for our host church! We even had a couple of brief conversations! We hope many families will be involved in VBS next week and will be thankful for any part God used us to bring people in!

Some of our team served with Agape Service Foundation. We met Mike and Janice Humble, the leaders of their ministry. Mike leads the county's chaplaincy program, assisting first responders, families in crisis, and inmates at the local jail. He even gave us a tour of the Dispatch Office and Sheriff's Office.
Then we went to work helping to organize and distribute supplies to hurting families. Janice told us that they even serve international locations! Before we left, they led us in a powerful time of prayer. What an honor to serve with them!

Tonight, we had our final team meeting in a replica of the Red River Meeting House. This was the site of the beginning of the Second Great Awakening and the camp meeting movement of revival meetings. Our Trip Leader told us of some of the history of the Second Great Awakening and how a leading pastor, James McGreedy urged people to pray that revival "rain may fall again on Logan County." We spent time asking God to renew us and to help us reach our friends, family, even enemies that may not know Jesus as Savior.
