We made it!!! After a long drive down from Michigan we arrived in Kentucky, fired up and ready to go! We can't wait to see how God will move this week!

Today one of our main ministry focuses’ was aiding our host church in getting ready for a diaper giveaway on Wednesday! We moved diapers and baby supplies from an outside storage container to a room upstairs. We quickly learned that working as a team made the work go by faster and with a little more fun! We had an assembly line that went all the way from the container, up stairs, down a hallway and into the right spots in the room!

After worshipping with out host church, we took a riding tour of Mayfield. We were all a little shaken to see so much damage, especially since it has almost been 6 months since the tornado! We gathered at a little park and prayed over Mayfield. Then we did some prayer walking in an area that hasn't had much prayer walking yet. We are trusting in God to hear our prayers and use us to bring some hope to this city.

One of our partners, Mercy Chefs, needed some help fast! Someone tested positive for Covid in the building. None of us had contact with them and all the chefs were cleared. But, they had to clean and sanitize all there facilities, before they could start cooking for hurting families again. We took a team to do a thorough clean, so the chefs can focus on feeding victims. It felt great to help them out with an urgent need!

Today we went to help a small team, that was working in the same area as us, move a tiny house to Graves County! We had to fold the roof in as well as the porch!! We then loaded the house onto the back of a trailer and transported it to a tiny home community in Graves County, where we set up large bricks for the house to stand on! This house, along with many others like it, will be used to give families, displaced by the tornado, a home. It is an awesome thought that we were able to provide a home for someone! It is amazing to see how God is moving in us, and we cant wait to see how He moves next!

One of our partners this week is Mercy Chefs. They are a great partner that brings trained chefs to a region that has experienced some type of disaster. That chef and his team prepare meals for people who have experienced loss from the tornado, for volunteers and others who are helping out or in need. We've been working with food preparation. And one day we prepared several pounds of onions! We were blessed with an opportunity to serve and an opportunity to enjoy a few extra tears!
